i’m over the fume of gifting them the goals

we weren’t at it till 90 mins.

well onwards you can’t be sloppy in this league, we’ve just seen!
That midfield three have made similar mistakes every game and got away with mostly, I think the Sunday night played a part, and giving them too much respect.

The crdit given to United is unrreal. They're a poor Man Unitred team. Worse teams than Everotn will get a result out of United this season and they have already.

We just didn't have the identity we'd seen put together since late last season out there last night. Too much of a belief that the unbeaten run make us a 'good team'. But they are not a good team, not at all.

For us to get results we have to have the team out there going into it knowing their own trechnical limitations and that their strength lies in organisation and hard work.
Trouble is Dave their 7/10 performance (which is where they're at) is infinitely better than our 7/10 effort and yesterday we dipped to 5 or 6 out of ten. We just don't have the personnel to compete unless at full chat and the monied outfits are having an off day. It's a tough pill to swallow but the result of these games is nearly a foregone conclusion these days

I think we're really missing a quality striker now.

It'll drag us down to the bottom 4/5 by the world cup break. I'm certain of it.

That said, you get a goal up like last night in front of a full house at GP and that should be a mountain to climb for United given how well we've been organised in recent weeks. But they fell apart organisationally speaking. Thought they could play a bit of football when they cant.

My take on the game;

We we were poor last night, not sure what was up with the midfield. Onana doesnt seem to want to bust a gut to get around the pitch? Both United goals came from an individual error rather than poor defending or a lack of defending through the games. I thought apart from that we looked very comfortable defensively.

Annoyingly, said before the game that united team were there for the taking defensively, we needed a presence. Martinez had Maupay's number made him completely ineffective, needed Dominic Calvert-Lewin up there but fitness stopped that. As soon as we went direct, put balls in the box, they were absolutely crapping it. They could not handle the crazyness of pumping it in the box and looking for headers.

On Another night, the ball bounces our way and we get a result despite not being great.

Can't disagree. No doubt United were there for the taking but 'fraid so were we.

We were off for what ever reason. The misplaced passing is worrying though. They need to work hard at FF come away from the next 2 away unbeaten.

We'll be written off in both games just like we were for yesterday, up to us to prove them wrong. The players that is the fans can't do much more.

We would’ve drawn or won the game if Patterson was fit. He would’ve made Ronaldo look old 100%.
We’re not at full strength and DCL is still fragile.

I mean, they can.

Are people are expecting us to beat the top 6 this season? I for one would take a point against any of those teams. We have lost against Chelsea when we didn’t have a striker, drew against Liverpool and now lost against United. Spurs will be a tricky game. If I was Frank I would be going 5 at the back however even that may not do it. Son, Kane, Richy, and Kulisevski, I mean, ouch.

We beat United, Chelsea and Arsenal last season with a defence that stunk the gaff out.

We also lost to Norwich, Watford and Burnley. Anything out of the top 6 at the moment is just a bonus, its the other 13 teams we really need to be taking the points from.
This is an important point. Whilst everyone loves beating the Super League wannabes beating or at least not losing to the teams in "our league" is far more important. That loss to Burnley last season felt massive, as it deflated us and gave them a boost. Under Moyes we were good at beating the teams we were better than and generally lost to the better teams. If we can do that this season we should ensure a mid-table finish, which is really the best we can hope for with the current squad.

We beat both of them 1-0, held on at the end against both, had Richarlison for both games, they have both strengthened this season. Arsenal, we scored a worldy in injury time, and again they should have scored before and after we did.

All I am saying is, I don’t expect us to get any points of any of the big 6, that’s why teams such as Brentford, Leeds, Forest, West Ham, Newcastle, etc are important games.

All but City, I do. Especially at home.

As a small consolation, that team will never be seen together again! With a few exceptions most of them are new to playing at Goodison and with each other. We lost to a team above us, not for the first time, Gana and Onana are unlikely to play that badly in the same game again or ever. That's football and Evertonian life.

It was a bad result. We must put it behind us and go on.

Man Utd were better than I thought they'd be - possibly because they got humped the previous week and they were more determined.
