Thanks for your replys lads.

I'm quietly confident for Wednesday and I think it will be very different than the league game when we crumbled for 10 minutes.
RS can crow all they like about their European history. Our players have played in more European games than theirs have, so I don't think a few flags and noise will phase them.

Kompany looks to be over(touch wood) his injury woes and should play against RS, he will make a massive difference. Also our midfield magician David Silva will probably play, both were missing from the league game. Aguero was tested yesterday, he'll be available.

I know that wasn't pleasant viewing for you guys but sometimes you just have to accept being beaten by a better side. I've seen every game played this season either live or on the box, and many of those games we've gone 2 or 3 up and took it easy on teams.
Liverpool are a good side and can beat us for pace upfront, but if we start like we did against you and go 2-0 up on 12 mins, then the kop will be as quiet as a graveyard. Like I say, I'm confident of getting through.
absolute pleasure to watch City yesterday mate, that first half was some of the best football i have ever seen. will be some game when you and Barca shoot it out for the champions league. as for us...... finished as a competitive football club

Whilst I hope you beat the RS, I hope you then get utterly pumped and humiliated in the next round. Can’t stand City, and even worse is some of our fans tonguing your arse.

I can understand your disappointment mate but finished as a competitive club, give over.
BFS is a tactical dinosaur with his route one hoof ball style of management. It has no place in today's game. Once you sack him and appoint a decent manager who can sort your problems out, that's when you'll see progress. It will take time and money.

I haven't got a problem with you being bitter or jealous mate. I prefer honesty.

Before the moneymen came, people used to feel sorry for us for being sh!t.. we were like poor African orphans on a TV advert. "Aww, look at those poor buggers starve".... As they(the rich clubs)scoffed their banquet on the top table of premier league and European football.

Football is all about money, and to a lesser extent than today's game, it always has been about money.

Man-ure Liverpool and Arsenal fans hate us more than Evertonions. They don't like us nouveau riche Manchester scallys as we're not entitled, and don't deserve it. Tough sh!t I say.

Funny thing is, Man-ure Liverpool and Arsenal are now spending big and all have paid a much higher price for their most expensive player. That's ok though as they are all entitled to spend. I call it hypocrisy of the highest order.

Anyone who is a real football fan would of enjoyed that mate. I still have to pinch myself at times, and we will get better still I think.

I remember Arsenal thrashing us at Maine road in the 90's. I stayed behind and clapped them off the pitch. Arsenal I mean, not our donkeys!

Silva was on another level, not the first time he's dominated us at goodison, asking Rooney and schneiderlin to stop him was suicide.

I used to love going to night games at Maine Road mate, as it was always a top night.

A curry in the little cafe style curry houses in Rusholme, that aren`t there anymore. A few beers in the back street pubs, full of Irish lads and old West Indian fellahs.

Getting bricked on the way to the ground, as you walked up the side streets.

Then getting eaten alive by the Police dogs, during the escort on the way back.

Just out of interest, has your fan base changed into the same as Manures and the RS - full of football tourists on a day out ?

plenty of old school fans still go like myself mate. We're like a different club nowadays to the one at Maine road. Only two things have remained the same, our shirt colour and us beleaguered old timers who still go, many have furrowed brows of misery, a permanent reminder of what MCFC have put us through.

But the club nowadays is evolving beyond all recognition as our owners pursue domestic and European dominance. Prices go up, real supporters get priced out, or dissilusioned on the way things have gone. Camera clicking half n half scarf tourists are becoming more frequent. The club don't seem to mind us die hards with years of attending games not renewing season tickets, as long as the new fans can afford it. That's how it seems to me.

Unfortunately, I feel as though we are slowly morphing into the monster we hated across town, but we are way off being the circus that man-yooo are, so i will carry on going to games. For now at least.

He’s an unbelievable player. If he plays in both legs against Liverpool it will be incredibly difficult to look beyond a City win. The only occasion this season that he’s played and they haven’t won the game was against us at the Etihad when they still battered us with ten men.

At times yesterday @Maine road Man, the football you played was scintillating, however I genuinely don't think you got out of first or second gear.

Unfortunately for us it reminded me of a training match and we were fortunate that you didn't up the ante as it would have been a cricket score.
