I know it's going to take time. I'm just glad we've got Carlo tbh (although some of the defeats have been down to his tactics/selections - but hey, that happens).

Don't really appreciate people giving me sarcastic comments and 'middle fingers' for saying so though. It's hard to see the club getting into the top half on current trends and everyone also said there's no way we finish bottom half last year after Carlo's start - but we did. They are such cowards that when it is clear we can't get into Europe (which will come sooner rather than later) I bet they just down tools again like last season.

Hope I'm wrong but I'm amazed that people think there are positives from that performance. We were awful and City didn't even have to try. If they really had something to play for that would be a cricket score.
Don’t worry see it as an achievement. :pint2:

Superb Citeh team no doubt. No one can live with them. 2nd goal was taken well but he was allowed to ghost across our back line. 3rd goal should have been saved as it wasn't in the corner and Pickford did mess it up. Davies and Iwobi off I believe was more tactical as Carlo wanted to push for an equaliser. Thought Davies and Iwobi were doing an OK job. The tactic didn't work. It pushed Coleman up and Holgate went from being CB to right back Godfrey from left back to CB and Digne to left back with Siggy dropping slightly deeper. May of worked if we had the right players but we are short of them.
Holgates head went, he was getting destroyed and trying to foul. His head physically went down and he tried to hide as much as he could afterwards....not a good sign. We can all see we are still light years away from the likes of City but we are still carrying bog standard players. This is going to be a slow build by Carlo and we need to recognise and accept that a lot of work still has to be done. At least Carlo is getting players to play in different positions when needed and the systems change often during a game. Once players (intelligent players) get onside with this type of footy then it can only help us in future.
Some good, sensible points made.
Are you sure you support everton?

They are mentally so far ahead, city. Every time they lose the ball it's like they anticipate exactly where the opposition is gonna go, meaning they win it back so quickly. Then impeccable touch to keep the ball when they have it again. Masterful stuff and extremely frustrating to play against
They are running all game. Keane and co are standing around. Who is more tired after the game. City has played twice a week for 7 times in a row now!

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola tells Amazon

A real tough game, pitch in not perfect condition in winter and they are so physical team. A solid performance, the guys run like way we have to do and three points.

We have the quality up front but it comes through the passes and when we arrive in the final third we want to attack too quick, we have to have patient. The second goal is a an example of that, if you can't find (the opening), make an extra pass.

Sometimes Riyad Mahrez plays left, sometimes right, it depends on the decisions for the team.

Football is not about defensive, offensive, you cannot win titles (without a good defence) and we have concede few goals and few chances. This team (Everton) scored three at Old Trafford and five against Spurs and a team that can create chances.

Sometimes our full-backs attack wider, it depends on the opponents. Not all the full-backs can play inside, it depends on the skills of everyone.

Asked about being 10 points clear at the top: "Arsenal next, that is for sure."

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to BBC Sport

They are well organised, but we had the patience to attack them. It was well deserved.

That is our identity. When you win a lot of games everyone wants to beat you and it is tricky. I have not seen that the team is thinking of the table, we have spoken about that. We are not here to defend our lead, it is all about three points, three points.

There are 42 points still to fight for, we are in the middle of February. Now we rest for a few days, there are so many games.

Kevin and Sergio are back, it is incredible news for us."

Lads can we stop with the petty fingers? Tonight and Sunday we were not our best, we’ve blew two chances to cut and overtake teams above us. We have to go balls out at Anfield on Saturday, there’s no excuses, not even a draw will do, it has to be a win
I just can’t see it, we bottle it every time against them, I expect 3-1 to them. Expect the worst and hope for the best is my motto, that way I won’t be to disappointed.

They are running all game. Keane and co are standing around. Who is more tired after the game. City has played twice a week for 7 times in a row now!
Aye but they are doing a lot of the running in their heads. They are anticipating where to be and positioning themselves perfectly. Players like Sigurdsson as much as he tries to look like he's running around is never in the right place enough and not anticipating what needs to happen next

Not one corner, second half substitutions again bafflling to say the least a no 9 on the wing - Tom Davies playing well, as was Iwobi?
Davies was good. We missed him in midfield when he went off.

Iwobi was ok. I wish he would, just once, try to beat a FB. He feigns like he's going to try, then every time checks and plays it into the middle.
