..if he wasn’t here there is a very good chance we’d be detached at the bottom by now. I can’t think of anybody who’d have got the same points return with this group of players.

Allardyce has never built a successful side. No top half finish in over a decade. This is what he does. This is not football I can support and it's miserable.

And no we wouldn't be adrift. There were hundreds of people who could have sorted us. We are poor but we were never in relegation danger.

The issue is we still keep throwing 3-4 players up front who have hardly scored any goals in the past 2 years, and somehow expecting them to.

Its either just madness, or hoping for a penalty. This game once again ended with 3 central midfielders who average a combined 2 goals per season, and 3 forwards with a combined 4 goals in the premier league over the past 2 seasons. Thats 6 players with 8 goals over the past 2 seasons as our front 6 to end the game.

And with that the real difference in this game was they finished 2 chances well, and we spurned the many chances we had in and around the box. We had poor crosses, poor decisions, missed shots, and they simply had Linnegard hit a shot from the same position we have had opportunities from. Better class. Finishing isnt everything, but it sure can make a difference in an instant, and right now we badly need finishing up front.

Who mate. Who would have taken the job at the time. Dyche the only one I can think off who would probably have guaranteed results.
We are a very very average side. Playin wise

What the hell are you on about? Genuinely worried about some people’s idea about football sometimes.

If all he is doing is running himself into blind alleys and corners, I'd say yes - that seems to be his primary role. Run to the byline, don't bother looking up and lump it anywhere.

FOOTBALL ISN'T HIT AND HOPE! You don't just get the ball and whack it into a general vicinity in the vain hope someone is there, you pick your head up and look for a target, you're taught that in primary school.

He literally has NO END PRODUCT. You give him the ball, you may as well save yourself 30 seconds of play by rolling it straight out for a goal kick.

He is doing exactly what he has done the entirety of his career, and he was lauded on here when injured as the second coming. He was useless before we bought him, useless when he was injured and he's useless now.

I beg to differ. I think we were in trouble (4-1 vs Soton) and we still are. There are 12 teams in the PL who are crap, and three of those are egregiously crap: Stoke, Swansea...and Everton.

A bit like playing a winger who has 30 assists in his entire 10 year career, and expecting him to assist goalscorers that don't score goals.

At least the Turk will single handedly win games for us. Well, that's what we'll need from him anyway.

We were relegation standard vs Saints. And Unsworth - deserving of his time in charge - was shaking his head on the touchlines. Most fans would've grabbed the points BFS has bagged, but it's disappointing that we started well and have 'appeared' to decline these last 4 games. The WBA game has got us in the wrong mindset, but all teams have blips.

I agree that Sam is probably not the long-term manager for us, but his record in the window is above decent and he needs that to really have a go at building something that is his own, not only fire-fighting the Koeman/Walsh carnage.

Keep the faith brother.
