"I've seen the Marouane Fellaini offside call, and the Victor Anichebe goal-line call a few times now, and I still can't call them 100% either way.Steven Taylor's back foot looks like he is playing Fellaini onside, but the rest of his body is playing him offside! And about 90% of the ball looks over the line. It's a good job that I'm not an official."

From the BBC. My God.

Forgot that a back foot wasn't part of the body.

Yeah and the balls are different from years ago, sorry mate other teams will get in behind its going to happen, the keeper is there to save the game, not make a bags of a tame first and jump over the second!

Newcastles reserve gave him a keeping lesson, kept them in the game firt half.

Its a preemptive, all keeper's do it. He's guessed wrong. He could've just dived at it, but I'm not gonna blame him for the 2nd

89th minute and we get done by a hoof. Utter joke. I'm sticking this on the defence and midfield

Oh my,what can I say ? First of all,Hi to everyone, this is my first post here. I hope it ll make sense,my english isnt actually tested in real conditions here in Slovakia (hello Jan M.) .. About match .. I am sorry Phil Neville, you just cant handle midfield in PL anymore. Ball control just awful and when I saw us play some great moves and then saw Phil with the ball, I just asked my self, wtf is this guy doing over there with Pienaar, Ossie and Mirallas .. About Ossie,he was good enough in the first half, but poor in second. Lost ball at 3 crucial times and from one of that,Ba scored .. Hmhp, what am I saying, scored ? He just f.....g passed the ball to net next to Howards hands, what was he doing over there? Okay,he saved us against Ben Arfa, but what about second Ba´s goal ? He was just as guilty as Jags and Distin .. Thankfully Pienaar was at his best again, some great passing and movement with the ball, shame that he didnt pass it to Ossie back then. Kevin looks like he will be ace, needs more gym time and must learn when to pass ball,to his teammate rather than shoot. And referees? Nothing new for Everton.

After all,it was great match which we should have won.

the guy on the BBC live commentary says he still can't tell if the whole ball is over the line? what is he looking at seriously. he also says steven taylor's foot is playing felli onside, but the rest isn't - yeah that means onside you absolute pleb

Haha, couldn't have put it better. This guy is doing BBC commentary too, unsure of the offside rule.

I f##### Hate anichebe.....getting my hopes up like that.
On a serious note, mix of bad luck with linesman and poor defending cost us there. Played some wonderful and woeful stuff at times.

Individual players may have played poorly in the second half but the bottom line is that we should have won regardless of this.

The first rule of goalkeeping. Keep your eye on the ball.

It's definitely not "leap in the air like a sh*tbag in the hope the striker bottles it".

Completely at fault. The first goal he was at fault too, hesitated when he should have just dropped on a tame shot.

The reason we dropped the points was ultimately poor keeping, a terrible midfield of Osman & Neville which should never see the light of day again, some bizarre tactical choices from Moyes and some p*ss poor refereeing. A horrible combo.

the officials were ****e, we couldnt help that its out of our hands... but we still should have won, basic errors and lack of concentration/composure cost us dearly today...
