I hate to question Carlo but Pickford playing sent totally the wrong message I thought.

Yet he made a fantastic save to stop it getting even uglier even quicker.

I get the point. And thing is, Pickford will be dropped on Wednesday.

It all comes back to a lack of a decent squad though.

We play too much in our own half. It's not that teams really 'want it', our style of play is hurting us.

It might be that some teams don’t really want it, but after they watch us for half an hour or so they realise they have nothing to fear and start to “ want it”

Leeds are going to run us into the ground. We can't cope with high pressure pressing. Every player bar James loses their head and can't make a simple pass. We will have 40% possession of were lucky and almost all of it will be in our defensive third.

40% possession against Leeds next game is probably the most optimistic post I've read here in a long time. They will do us. Guaranteed.

Watched from start to finish which is unusual for me and obviously a curse. Without James we are crap and they booted him so frequently we were crap. I cannot see why Holgate and Godfrey were left out other than a huge disrespect to the opposition. with the wall out there this would have been at worst a 0-0. This was reminiscent of a bottle job under previous managers. It seemed like 7 or more of the players were just having a really bad day. we put out an attacking line up and then ceded possession. The difference between this performance and say WBrom at the season start was that we pressed from the front with energy in that game and did the exact opposite in this one. Carlo seemed well peed off at the attitude and rightly so. He should be all over that as the players are not keeping up their side of the relationship with the coach. Shouldnt change our recruitment plans as a knee jerk but there ws no-one on the bench to improve that performance.

But unfortunately it’s the usual suspects who keep letting us down,
Like they have for the last few years. Pickford, Coleman. Again Keane & Mina struggled trying to play a higher line. God knows why Godfrey doesn’t play in the games, that we aren’t trying to park the bus. Siggurdsson, Gomes. And with Richarlison out of form. It’s all on James.

We need a few more windows obviously, but god, i wouldn’t care if I never saw 75% of the squad ever again

Better than the Leicester game from an attacking sense but we let them have too much of the ball in midfield, heads dropped after the first goal
