Carlo and the players are lucky no fans are in the ground after the last few home
Games.

Forget the result,
We should be dominating that Newcastle team, when was the last time we dominated a team?

But unfortunately it’s the usual suspects who keep letting us down,
Like they have for the last few years. Pickford, Coleman. Again Keane & Mina struggled trying to play a higher line. God knows why Godfrey doesn’t play in the games, that we aren’t trying to park the bus. Siggurdsson, Gomes. And with Richarlison out of form. It’s all on James.

We need a few more windows obviously, but god, i wouldn’t care if I never saw 75% of the squad ever again

This is the nub of it for me. We know up to half this squad is nowhere near good enough and unfortunately never will be. So we will just have to put up with the ups and downs until Carlo/Brands get better players in and that will take years

Better than the Leicester game from an attacking sense but we let them have too much of the ball in midfield, heads dropped after the first goal

Didn't see the game live but caught the highlights, and I have to say... lollollollollol

Highlights aren't the best indicator but we looked poor in the ten minutes or so that were cobbled together. I thought James could've done better after being played in with a nice backheel from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and maybe Mina should have made more of the couple of chances he had. It was good to see Richarlison being direct and having a couple of shots on goal, but his attempts in making defensive headers in our area looked like he was just going through the motions. Not that it made much difference, but I thought Pickford got his angles wrong for their second goal, showing too much of the right side of the goal to aim at; that said, he made a decent enough save tipping over the bar.

Going to give Jordan Pickford MotM because his save stopped it from being an even more embarrassing Nil-Three.

Missed the young energetic legs of Holgate,Davies & Godfrey as we were outplayed by an average Newcastle team...

We struggled against the high press & were second best in the 50/50 for the ball all game...

Disappointing as we were really poor & going forward looked so weak & ineffective...

I think the problem may be hungry good players. Or the lack of.

We've got the talented but just ineffectual (Siggy, Gomes), the hungry but poo (Davies), and the ineffectual / injured and on balance of probability poo (Delph, Gbamin).

Oh, but there's always Besic, if you listen to some. Ffs.

Its a squad game. Our squad is muchos poopoo.

Half the squad needs emptied. Literally. Why the hell are we paying people like Tosun and Sigurdsson?

Today I saw an Everton player (Coleman) pass the ball straight to an opponent. That's unreal.

I've seen that from loads of different Everton players for years. I cringe every time I see it but believe me it's sadly very real.
