The people who are saying they are glad we are out. The fact that Everton have won precisely nothing in the last few years should make us want to win any kind of trophy. Winning a trophy will breed confidence for the future.
No one is glad but it's not the end of the world. What is more worrying was the performance. Apart from the few chances Gerry had we never looked like scoring.

I don't think Barkley is creative enough and Valencia has lost his pace and looks finishes at this level.

Poor but not that arsed, more worried about Barkley. At the moment he's not a patch on the player he was in his debut season and he hasn't been at that level for quite some time now despite no injury setbacks etc.

Think the calls to sell him are ridiculous though, hes still young and could turn out great but I've definitely downgraded my views on the overall level he could reach.

Haven't we got any young striker who is worth playing?

Surely one of them is good enough to score about 5 goals a season and actually look half decent.

Valenica looks like a waste of space and Kone isn't that much better. Just play a youngster imo.

No point using experienced players if they're only experienced at being crap.

Those bashing Cleverley on tonight's showing are unbelievable. By far one of the better performers tonight.
He was tidy in the way that Joe Allen is tidy so I really would prefer him not on the pitch. That said his performance is always a solid 6 of 10 so tonight that's toward the top end of the team
