I would like to know why other sides can sign players and they can go right into the side and make an impact.

But when we sign players, they are invariably carrying knocks or unfit and we're repeatedly told we need to have patience before expecting anything from them. What are we doing wrong.

I'm a bit fed up. Anyway, please sign 2 good forwards and please get DCL back firing.

Diamond in the rough just waiting to be discovered. I’m 29 still so that’s young in goalkeeper years. Hoping to get signed as a training coach leader motivational keeper. Like Scott Carson for City. Low wages High intensity leadership.
You'd have everyone coming out of a session with low motivation and high bullsh1t.

We should've won but we had to work to earn a point. That's football.

Pickford should've punch it properly or held on but these stuff happen and generally there were still a huge amount of empty space. But I would put more blame on Patterson not being aware and mark Brennan Johnson. It was a very cheap goal to concede actually. Patterson shouldn't have allowed so much space to begin with. This is the Premier League, he has to keep his concentration for the full 90 minutes. Having said that, Patterson has been quite solid and I really hope he will turn into a really good RB.

We should've taken a lot of our chances from some really good set piece delivery from Gray. Gray seems to be getting sharper. I think having a proper No. 9 brings the best out from Anthony Gordon and Gray. Shows you how rotten our board can be by not signing a No. 9 for 3 weeks since DCL hurt himself. I mean what scouts are for? We are placing reliance on the return of DCL like how we did last season. The board never learns.

A nice and to the point quality post. We need more reasonable people like you on this forum. UTFT

As infuriating as it is being at 1 point from the first 3 matches, all 3 of the matches could have and in some cases should have turned on just a couple of moments. We were bad luck vs Chelsea, NF turned so many off the line. Get a real striker in, get Dom back, get another Winger and a CM, and this team is at least playing much better than last season.

In two of the 3 matches the only goals have been a PK and off of a rebound.
This is a sensible point. We’re not playing poorly nor do we look overly threatened. Simple mistakes and a lack of a striker are hampering us.

I’d be far more concerned if we weren’t at the races at all, so if/when the board resolve the front line I suspect we will start picking up three points.

The only concern is we have a sequence of games, which will be quite tough. Early points on the board would have been a big help there.

If, as rumour would have it, we are waiting on Broja to join us, then it would look like the delay is in Chelsea bringing Aubameyang in, which looks imminent. If (as other rumours would have it) any other signings will be funded by Gordon moving on to Chelsea, then is strikes me as odd that we risked scuppering any such deal by playing him yesterday?

Uhh, how did we not win, owned them in the first half. The game should have been no contest second half.

Have to say our substitutions let them in game...

Man of match Gray, we need goals and was a well taken goal. Iwobi was crowd favourite, long road to redemption for me, will wait for a match winning performance, so acceptable standard.

Tarkowski was an utter liability in that first half. Against any half decent team he'd have cost us 2-3 goals.
Dont know where you were sitting so perhaps you had a better view but he was good second half defending the ParkEnd. 2 Leaders in him and Coady is just what we need.
