That’s the point, there is nothing in giving the first penalty, that has any direct cause or impact, that means the others wouldn’t be given. You are also stating things MUST be different if the pen is given, but that is not true.

There is actually nothing that directly means the subsequent passage of play must be different. If the first pen was given, taken, after that the rest of the play could resume and be exactly the same as it was before.

This is just an “other possible worlds” theory but it’s really a bit pointless. What happened, happened.

I reckon if the first penalty was awarded Pickford would have saved it and we would have won 5-0

Yes it IS true. The whole pattern of play in the first half changes! No penalty given, so play continues. Penalty given, so play stops, the ball is put on the penalty spot and a penalty kick is taken. Whether scored or not, the whole pattern of play from thereon is different to what actually happened in reality. Can you not understand that? If you cannot, then there is no hope for you...

They're not rats - except for the super league nonsense - and the only difference with them is that they are lucky enough to be where they are, for now. Nothing stays the same forever, though

If the independent panel say Forest should have had 1 penalty do Forest now think they should have had 4? Is a separate independent panel needed to adjudicate on this?

Two things from Forest's request for the audio and Webb's PR job;
Firstly - Webb said that ref's set a high threshold for penalising contact 'all over the field really, but also in the penalty area.' This is plainly not true. How many times do defenders invite contact then fall over at the merest touch? A foul is given on virtually every occasion. This myth that the same rules apply for fouls inside the box as for those outside needs to be called out. Webb should have been challenged on this, but Owen (like all of the other pundits, journalists, commentators, etc) are all on the gravy train and say nowt.
As for Forests request. Will this have a subliminal and positive effect for them next time there's a boderline decision to be made by a ref? Should all teams request the VAR audio (in the very public way the Forest and the RS did). If so will we all get to know the Independant Panels decision or does that 'priviledge' only apply to the chosen few? This could get very messy. You had some decisions go against you (just like everyone else has). Man-up and shut up!
