It's our inconsistency that always gets me: expectations of winning that are soon washed away by a desperate performance; we then go and beat a top team.

Without ignoring our poor home form, it's been a positive to see us winning at Spurs, the RS and getting a draw at United, where we'd normally be rubbish.

If Carlo can break the voodoo of places like the Emirates (still never won!) and Stamford Bridge, I trust him to be able to rekindle our usual good form at home.

A confident win against Southampton would be a good start to help build momentum.
We won at Leeds, too. First time since Rooney was a lad, so maybe we can keep going.

Jonathan Moss on VAR duties for this one, dangerous for an even-up after the media hyped up a TAA protest for a clear penalty

It's a big week for us in the league. With West Ham beaten yesterday a win will put us right on their heels with a game in hand. Villas win yesterday means they are in a good position to snatch a place in the top seven leaving us out of European contention.

Don't win this and all the good of wining last week will be gone.

If they are fit and available I would go
Pickford
Holgate Keane Godfrey Digne
Doucoure Allan Davies
James Calvert-Lewin Richarlison

Olsen Coleman Nkounkou Delph Gomes Sigurdsson Iwobi Bernard King

If the game situation allows Sigurdsson for Allan with Davies going central. King for Calvert-Lewin with Richarlison going central. Coleman for James.
