You reminded me of the Hull match and now I am sad.

It would be totally totally like us to lose to Newcastle , lose to Hull, beat City.

But I think you're right. 2 points out of the next 3 - though i was thinking Newcastle was a day we could run riot. Oh well.
I seriously don't think we'll be relegated or come close to it.

I hope you are right ;)

Tbh today I thought naismith and barry were much more pathetic with there passing and control of the game than barkley .
proving my point perfectly, it's impossible to slag barkley off to Evertonians, there's always someone else to blame. Naismith was hungry at least. Barkley looked like he wanted to go home and play with his new ps4 games

You call him a myth? He's played in his natural position once this season, and ran the show. Have a think lad. I'm not arsed about Raheem in the slightest. You're right, Osman would have been slaughtered for that but it still wouldn't have been his natural position. It's difficult to find space when you're in a role that's not natural to you, you naturally go where you feel comfortable, which completely ruins him defensively and makes Baines look average.

Not Barkley's fault, he doesn't pick himself out there. It's the manager who refuses to let him play central midfield and persists with Barry who looks about 5 million years old!

I think you're missing the point.

The position he is currently being played in is an excuse for a lack of competence but not an excuse for lack of application, desire, commitment, hunger etc.

I think I must have watched a different game to you ;) ... even if naismith was as hungry as you say. , hes a crap footballer. Pouching the odd goal or being a nuisance , at his best , yesok . But good skill ball control passing etc hes doggy doo. And I dont think he was anywhere near his best , offered much , or contributed any better than barkley.

They had 1 shot on target all game.

How many did we have though? Serious question.

We had a few chances in the first half, but Begovic didn't really have to work too much because our finishing was terrible.

In the second half I recall a couple of not very dangerous shots on target from Lukaku and that was it.

Poor really.

This malaise has been there since the run in last season where it was becoming apparent teams had worked us out but we finished with a good points total and looked forward to this season. But things have never really improved from the run in and our pre season was abject. We all thought we had got a top manager but the thing that's always been a sticking point with me is that a top manager doesn't get a team relegated. Top managers win games, even against the odds, they get results. Personally I think Bobby has lost the dressing room which is near impossible to get back. His philosophy is ineffective. A top manager doesn't make a team play like he dreams. A top manager adapts his tactics to the players he has available. We all get the hump wit Jags and Distin but they are being asked to do something they are not comfortable doing and when hey make a mistake, due to formation problems, the other team are right on our keeper. Their confidence is shot just like the rest of the team imo. It's a shame what he's done to honest pros.
Sadly, I think I'll have to agree with all of that. We have some very good players who seem not to know how to play. Matt LeTissier summed it up when he said we needed to get upfield quick in the dying seconds but were still passing it around at the back!

There are those managers who are good in the Championship but can't keep their promoted sides in the Premier League (Warnock etc) and there are those who do well for a season but get found out, can't/don't/want to change the team's playing style and, after a season or two flirting with relegation, get the team relegated. Sadly, it's becoming clear that Roberto is one of the latter.

I hope I'm proved wrong.

Naismith's crap now.

But Barkley still has no blame.

I give up. Evertonians skit the kopites and their ways, we're just as bad. Deluded at times.

Anyone else think Howard could have thrown his cap(if wearing one)on that scuffed pen?,awful day although I haven't any anger left, its a general air of indifference around the place at the moment,I thought with 10/15 to go we would be screaming for route one, even throwing the likes of Alcatraz forward but no side to side fannying around wasting our own time football was all we had and everyone seems to accept this will not change whatever the circumstances,in a strange way the injuries/suspension we picked up today may force him to change the system/formation.

I thought he is our Simeone or Klopp. He's now turning quickly into our own Juande Ramos.

I'm not even mad anymore. Just dissappointed and depressed.

I'm still behind him and I think he deserves a chance after a last season, but I know he won't give up on his philosophy andI wonder where will it takes us.

He won't go so this discussion about sacking him is pointless.

4 according to the stats, which is as poor considering we never scored.

We are playing very poorly at the moment and don't deserve a thing from the games we've lost and have stolen a win at home v QPR, strange season.

I'll take it that it was a rubbish game. Possibly the Worst seat I've ever had row PP main stand not even tiered up from the row in front. Next time I'll give it a miss and save my money. Terrible.
