well the last 3 have all been made by an accountant who supported arsenal 3 years ago, so is very unsurprising
and if @BigBlueNose was making the decisions our manager would be . . . . . . . . ?

Not that Silva is going anywhere (nor should he), but for the sake of argument say that he was. We'd probably go after a washed up Mourinho and once he predictably fails wonder where it all went wrong again. Look at how well Hasenhuttl is doing at Southampton. We're scared to take risks and always go for the PL proven safe bets.

It's a double tail coin.I see it that management appointments nowadays especially for us just seem to be a flip of a coin praying it will come up heads, sadly and true to our recent history we seem to have another tails in the making here.
Walter has won more trophies than any Everton manager! Not at Everton, but stil....Ah yes.. We don't go for the serial winners.. Walter? Don't make me laugh.. Silva is decent but, unlike Clough, Robson.. Not a winner
tough call which is why we have a footballing director to make these decisions..
it a world game, and I just don't follow enough football worldwide to know who is doing well.
I did mention the leizpig fella last year, who has just gone to southmapton. he has started really well, but that could just be new manager bounce as it were, will be interesting to see if he can keep it going.
I think you might of cracked it there mate. It's a double tail coin.
But basically you are saying sack Silva and appoint someone who is "doing well" and presumably as soon as they aren't doing well you would sack them and be back at square one.
IMO any manager should be given at least 3 full seasons to see if they can start "doing well"
I have no doubt that had you been in charge Howard Kendall would have been sacked long before he started "doing well"
That’s Brands’ job. Do you want him to fire every manager at Xmas?doing some real research and finding a credible manager who will actually come in and improve the club as a whole, esp the team. one that can work with and bring on youth teamers, with a proven track record, someone who has a certified winners mentality. someone who has faced adversity at a club previously and worked his way through it.
they are out there. it will be down to our footballing director to find them.
if they are underperforming and have us bottom of the form table then yes , most definitely. That’s Brands’ job. Do you want him to fire every manager at Xmas?
So who do you suggest?if they are underperforming and have us bottom of the form table then yes , most definitely.
Watford felt the need to sack him exactly this time last year.. he has form..
So who do you suggest?
So you’d sack Silva after 21 games?like ive said in another thread, im not up to date as to who is doing well in world football.
that decision is down to our technical director, employed to make such decisions, I have every faith in him to chose the correct manager for our club, so long as the Iranian accountant doesn't poke his nose in, then im happy with whoever gets the nod.
silva was forced on to brands as Moshiri had made such a dance for him this time last year. in no way do I see silva as a barnds manager. not with such an appalling record
