Mate we went like 5 months only beating the bottom 3 teams under martinez but still did well in the cups.

When your manager is crap and on his arse, only thing to do is seperate the league and the cup runs. So we can enjoy these wins and not expect beating watford reserves that we will go and beat spurs. But then also dream of lifting the cup at the end of feb.

It's not uncommon for young players to have to do a job out of position in order to work their way into a first team. If he doesn't start showing some quality in his limited time on the pitch, he'll find himself playing reserve team football in Italy sooner rather than later.

You're right about Italy, but reserve team? He played the last 13 of last year right next to Ronaldo, and was the youngest player ever to start/score for Italy's national team

the most obvious answer then for silva is to not play him and focus on the players who are actually winning games, no matter how well (or not) they played over 90 minutes. That is how you turn a losing run around.

Not by resorting back to the same tactic with the same player and getting the same negative result. I mean, 1 or two fair enough but all 6?

Just don't think there's any point going through life believing only bad things will happen. Like those meffs this afternoon saying there's no point winning the league cup cos you just have to play in the UEFA cup.
