You're right about Italy, but reserve team? He played the last 13 of last year right next to Ronaldo, and was the youngest player ever to start/score for Italy's national team

I was thinking that he's on loan for some reason, so you're right that he won't be playing for Juventus' reserve team. He'll end up somewhere like Roma or Milan, and I'm sure he'll do perfectly fine in more familiar surroundings.

I've thought for a couple of weeks that it doesn't seem to be happening for him here, based on Silva's apparent lack of interest in finding a role for what was supposedly his marquee summer signing. The transition between Serie A and the Premier League is arguably the most difficult among the big five leagues, with not too many success stories in either direction, so it was always going to be a punt.
