Amazing how much better I slept last night due to an Everton win.

Poor performance like but I’m all for grinding out results right now.
Trouble I, having atm is I’m an Everton fan and obviously I want us to win every game, but I don’t rate Silva one bit I think he’s a poor manager and want him out ASAP, but these results do keep his head above water,so I’m supporting the players and the team but not really the manager.

Holgate’s pace at the back is what stands out most. Him and Mina deserve a run together if Yerry can shake off the injury.

...yep, I was surprised and delighted to see the Holgate/Mina partnership given an outing. Saying that, I don’t think Holgate is anywhere near the answer but he has to be an option ahead of Keane for the reason you outline.

Managers and players come and go, it’s all about results and the club.

I do think Silva is on borrowed time though but won’t be replaced until the summer.

Keane has definitely lost out to Mina for the position of the big dominant centreback and now what we need is a pacy one to compete with Holgate. Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Zouma in January although think we can get a similar type for cheaper.

1st half tense and edgy display

2nd half much better , I went for Iwobi but it easily could have been Holgate , also a shout out for Walcott , he had a decent game running at their defence

Bring on the big guns ................... Oxford Home or Away , Bernard will do an Inchy !

What's a trophy for beards look like?

2 people voted for DCL obviously wind ups. Desperate need for a striker or using the formation against West Ham. DCL will do a good job at Stoke or Leeds or WBA

After that awful first half,I thought we did enough in the second hal to deserve the win. Two good goals and a lot more attacking intent. Iwobi is doing more than enough to keep Siggy out and Holgate is taking his opportunity to shine.
I still don’t like the formation we are playing and we still have to improve our passing and energy going forward but we are in the next round. Come on you Blues.

Pointless having the two of them together, esp in a match like that.

Hate to say it, he may be handsome but he's not as majestic as we were hoping.
I'd have the hairless one.

Reckon with JP in, with Delph, it'd work much better.
Until then its up to Silva to make Davies work with either Delph or Gomes

Obviously if it was a three, Delph and Gomes or Davies could work more in the channels
and to be fair to Silva he doesn't really have anyone other than Schnide to play the centre.
We were touted for signing Watford's Doucoure in the summer, the only midfielder currently near what he does as in bursting runs from midfield is Davies...

Who the hell voted for Iwobi??
Silva had to tell him that we were the one in the Blue shirts at half time to stop him passing the ball to Watford players.
