Liverpool had ONE shot on target yesterday. (1:1)
Villa had 3. (3:0)
Stoke had 5. (5:2)
Palace had 5. (5:1)
Southampton had 6. (6:1)
Sunderland had 3. (3:1)
Newcastle had 0. (0:0)
West Ham had 1. (1:0)
Hull had 2. (2:1)
Norwich had 4. (4:0)
Fulham had 7. (7:1)
Arsenal had 7. (7:3)

So we had the most shots on target of any team but we also had the worst shot to goals ratio. Jelavic had no shots on target and Kone had no shots of any description.

We're still winning the shots on target contest with 8. Cardiff managed 6 (3 goals), City 5 (2 goals), Spurs 7 (1 goal), Swansea 5 (0 goals).

Just United and Chelsea left to come.

Mate, just ask yourself this: Were we unlucky not to win yesterday and against Norwich?

Don't give me any of the ''a good performances isn't 3 points'' stuff please. Just answer my question truthfully.

That was a **** side we played yesterday. WBA offered nothing and we spent the entire match playing tippy tappy between ourbox and in the middle.

We should have rolled over them no problem.

Luck had f***k all to do with it.

So Ben Foster making numerous good saves can't be considered unlucky on our part?

numbers not your strong point is it..need some help. It was only 4 deals like of which Kone represented the biggest deal of which we put down 1.5m. I think it was 600K for roubles, a loan fee for the barca kid and a free for the bird man.

I think you will find it was the square root of fook all which was really the point of the question-_>New Manager given fookin pennys.

So 2.1mil unless barca kid doesn't feature much over the season. Thanks.
So your real issue is that the board haven't backed their man sufficiently. Plenty will agree with that, why be so pseudo-cryptic?

So why are you not giving Martinez a chance to prove/disprove himself, whilst knowing that he's handicapped financially?

Relax. Mid-table whilst managing the shift that you blithely dismiss as unimportant is a reasonable early staging post. I could give a flying one what Newcastle, West Brom or whoever do. This manager's come in and explained his method and the road he hopes to take us down...forgive me for wanting to show a bit of patience to let the man roll it out. Maybe we all should jump up and down at the prospect of him losing the 7th Place Cup - because that's really something important to hang onto.

Where did I say it was unimportant? All I said is the change hasn't been radical as of yet, which it hasn't. Also, I haven't spoken out against having patience, so I have no idea where that came from.

If we finished 10th, for example, it's hard to tell how I'd feel about him as a manager. Just like a lot of those calling for patience can't truly claim that if we proceeded to have our worst finish since 2006 with arguably our best squad in decades, they would 100% still be telling everyone to relax. It's way too easy to sit here and act like in a year's time after a car crash of a season you'll still be right behind Martinez. We will have to play stunningly badly to finish 10th with this squad in the premier league in its current state.

Our league position does matter. How much will we lose on last season in prize money if we finish tenth? Pretty sure it would be millions. Also, I doubt our good players will be hanging around to see if Martinez' ideas come to fruition if we're nowhere near europe with BK in charge.

We will see at cardiff, fella

What changes after Cardiff, win lose or draw? How is that a defining point about anything? We lose and you fume even more, yes. And what then? Martinez falls on his sword?

Three games in and we have all the evidence we need? Do me a favour. And by the way, I'm staggered that you who holds kenwright, like me, to be the cause of all ills could hang a new manager out to dry for not having, for the most part, journeymen playing like Barcelona after 180 minutes.

Unbelievable.

I'm pretty resigned to us not getting 3 points next week - they're on a massive high after this. It's the sort of games they'll need to win to stay up

The players disagree with you there mate. I think they might have a better idea if play has changed than us, tbf.

As for finishing positions: 10th, like 7th and 6th, is nowhere. Matters not one jot to me if there's no gain from it. There's no need to get bogged down in that.

No fella. Your lumping on the GK to explain the draw. It,s pathetic.

No I'm rationally analysing that we created plenty of chances and if it wasn't for some good saves and Fellaini's shot being an inch too wide we would have scored and likely won the game. You're disregarding all the positives from the match because we were held to a frustrating draw.

Besides I wasn't 'lumping on' the goalie, you said luck means nothing and I gave you an example of us being unlucky in the match. I.E the goalie making a few good saves.

61% possession. 395 completed passes.

West Brom 209 passes.
Arsenal 487 passes.
Spurs 381 passes.
Swansea 427 passes.
Liverpool 456 passes.
City 561 passes.

City won the passing then!

*deflated*

Kin ell Martinez, you're sh*t at this passing stuff.
