Wolves are only where they are because they are in bed with mendes. So salty!
Met two Everton fans on the train back last night and they couldn’t bear to give Wolves an ounce of praise.
We’ve heard all this nonsense before lads - the foreigners won’t hack it in the Championship, they won’t like the cold, they won’t make the step up as they haven’t got PL experience. Now we’re hearing everyone tell us how it’ll be harder next season and all our best players will be off.
I had a lot of respect for Everton fans in the past but you could genuinely hear a pin drop in the home section yesterday.
Yes, you’ve been in the top flight forever - so what?! One season where you threatened the top four and absolutely jack all else to show for it.
You’re just another set of fans who don’t really understand (or want to try and ignore) what is happening at Molineux. We aren’t here to make up the numbers.
Sorry to burst your bubble but nobody really ever remembers a runners up medal except the own individuals team fans . So to answer your question no it’s not something we wolves fans dream of . now actually winning a trophy is a future dream and target .
You played well yesterday there's no question about it, and again you've be impressive this season - all credit for both. Yet, you talk about a lack of understanding. You’re just another set of fans who don’t really understand (or want to try and ignore) what is happening at Molineux. Gross overreaction, but I am sure you are so upset at attending that match you can't be blamed for saying bin the lot. We have a few good players, a few average and a few poor players. Incidentally earlier on in this thread someone said Davies was rubbish or words to that effect. I thought he played quite well and is well worth picking again against City. What a terrible team we have. Same old mistakes costing goals, silly pens, free kicks and sloppy passes.
Uninspiring garbage. I'm struggling to remember a worse defence, anonymous midfield and toothless attack. Sell the lot and start again.
Mendes works for us , wolves do not work for mendes that’s the difference between us and the other clubs in the mendes stable. Fosun own a percentage in the mendez gestifute company . Do you really think mendez will be after chicken feed cash from selling on all of wolves best players and risk the wrath of fosun owners who make 1.2 billion a year in profit , and a company that’s worth 56 billion. I doubt it very much . Yes top players will leave to go too bigger and better clubs so they can achieve there career goals , but there will be no mass clear outs like what happened to Southampton and Leicester , and when someone does leave they will be replaced with the next Portuguese wonder kid or talent .Wolves are only where they are because they are in bed with mendes.
Very clever by all means but not a long term solution unless you can turn the money spent into better players as mendes makes you sell your best ones.
But realistically you aren't spending billions on players but getting them hand delivered ready to sell on.
You have a false sense of reality if you think mendes works for you mate.Mendes works for us , wolves do not work for mendes that’s the difference between us and the other clubs in the mendes stable. We, like other clubs, have seen many a team come up, give a good show and then disappear off into the ether; there's a huge difference sustaining a position.
You talk about competing for fourth and say so what? It's not just that, it's nine first division championships, five FA cups, a ECWC and sustained league position.
Perhaps you don't understand that, the expectations of the club and how we are very unhappy being below sixth etc? Whereas, you've got a nose bleed...
As @EFC78 mentions, if you can sustain your position then well done and you'll get the due respect, but you're talking in a way which we've all seen before.
Well when we play each other next season and all our best players are still here with further additions I will be sure to remind you of this conversation . All the best for the rest of the season .You have a false sense of reality if you think mendes works for you mate.
Mendes sends the players to wolves, you sell them to bigger clubs once they develop and mendes gets a huge chunk of money from the sale. Otherwise what's in it for him?
He will make serious money from wolves, as will wolves themselves from transfers but don't kid yourself you are in control of the situation. The money mendes will make will be millions
This is the same agent who sold all but one of his biggest clients in one summer , only Everton refusing to sell stopped it being a clean sweep. Once the players leave wolves they are still his clients and he can still make money from them. Hence why it's such a profitable venture for him.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread, other sides have indeed finished seventh. But they don’t have the capital and the ambition that our owners have to kick on from there.
We may well regress next season to 14th or similar but the long term goal remains - challenge the elite, not just in England but further afield.
