The commentator on my stream mentioned being able to hear the individual comments over the crowd singing! I have noticed this myself a few times. To be fair, it is harder to sing and be positive when the team is this poor. I don't go to the games, so I can't criticise the fans who are quiet. If the players did better, I'm sure the atmosphere would improve. Goodison produces a great atmosphere when we are good. It makes me sad to think that we a few years away from leaving and that great atmosphere has slipped away and might not come back.

So salty!

Met two Everton fans on the train back last night and they couldn’t bear to give Wolves an ounce of praise.

We’ve heard all this nonsense before lads - the foreigners won’t hack it in the Championship, they won’t like the cold, they won’t make the step up as they haven’t got PL experience. Now we’re hearing everyone tell us how it’ll be harder next season and all our best players will be off.

I had a lot of respect for Everton fans in the past but you could genuinely hear a pin drop in the home section yesterday.

Yes, you’ve been in the top flight forever - so what?! One season where you threatened the top four and absolutely jack all else to show for it.

You’re just another set of fans who don’t really understand (or want to try and ignore) what is happening at Molineux. We aren’t here to make up the numbers.
Wolves are only where they are because they are in bed with mendes.

Very clever by all means but not a long term solution unless you can turn the money spent into better players as mendes makes you sell your best ones.

But realistically you aren't spending billions on players but getting them hand delivered ready to sell on.

Is it me or does Joe anderson seem extremely bitter that Everton are/have secured alternative funding rather than going through the City Council?

Been mouthing off against Everton a lot since that update.

Sorry to burst your bubble but nobody really ever remembers a runners up medal except the own individuals team fans . So to answer your question no it’s not something we wolves fans dream of . now actually winning a trophy is a future dream and target .

All this cockyness after being back in the big time for 25 games... One top 6 finish and a League Cup win in the last 40 years and a few of your fans think you can come on here and lecture Evertonians about us having done nothing for ages.

Whilst we've been one of 6 sides who have been ever presents in the PL era, you've been put to shame by Charlton, Norwich and QPR.

To go back to the game yesterday, I think your players were great. Jota was a menace all game and although he was over exaggerating contact at times he was winning free kicks from it. In contrast to Richarlison who embarrassed himself once again with his theatrics. Wolves had a great shape and caused us problems at key moments with a mix of quality (The 3rd goal) and a lot of desire (the block in the 2nd half where 2 players lunged in to block it).

If you can keep it up over a number of seasons you will earn our respect for doing so. We managed it over a decade under Moyes and found ourselves restricted by finances. You don't have that problem although the FFP aspect may prove a problem, as it will with us.

What a terrible team we have. Same old mistakes costing goals, silly pens, free kicks and sloppy passes.
Uninspiring garbage. I'm struggling to remember a worse defence, anonymous midfield and toothless attack. Sell the lot and start again.

You played well yesterday there's no question about it, and again you've be impressive this season - all credit for both. Yet, you talk about a lack of understanding.

We, like other clubs, have seen many a team come up, give a good show and then disappear off into the ether; there's a huge difference sustaining a position.

You talk about competing for fourth and say so what? It's not just that, it's nine first division championships, five FA cups, a ECWC and sustained league position.

Perhaps you don't understand that, the expectations of the club and how we are very unhappy being below sixth etc? Whereas, you've got a nose bleed...

As @EFC78 mentions, if you can sustain your position then well done and you'll get the due respect, but you're talking in a way which we've all seen before.

Gross overreaction, but I am sure you are so upset at attending that match you can't be blamed for saying bin the lot. We have a few good players, a few average and a few poor players. Incidentally earlier on in this thread someone said Davies was rubbish or words to that effect. I thought he played quite well and is well worth picking again against City.

Mendes works for us , wolves do not work for mendes that’s the difference between us and the other clubs in the mendes stable. Fosun own a percentage in the mendez gestifute company . Do you really think mendez will be after chicken feed cash from selling on all of wolves best players and risk the wrath of fosun owners who make 1.2 billion a year in profit , and a company that’s worth 56 billion. I doubt it very much . Yes top players will leave to go too bigger and better clubs so they can achieve there career goals , but there will be no mass clear outs like what happened to Southampton and Leicester , and when someone does leave they will be replaced with the next Portuguese wonder kid or talent .

You have a false sense of reality if you think mendes works for you mate.

Mendes sends the players to wolves, you sell them to bigger clubs once they develop and mendes gets a huge chunk of money from the sale. Otherwise what's in it for him?

He will make serious money from wolves, as will wolves themselves from transfers but don't kid yourself you are in control of the situation. The money mendes will make will be millions

This is the same agent who sold all but one of his biggest clients in one summer , only Everton refusing to sell stopped it being a clean sweep. Once the players leave wolves they are still his clients and he can still make money from them. Hence why it's such a profitable venture for him.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, other sides have indeed finished seventh. But they don’t have the capital and the ambition that our owners have to kick on from there.

We may well regress next season to 14th or similar but the long term goal remains - challenge the elite, not just in England but further afield.

Well when we play each other next season and all our best players are still here with further additions I will be sure to remind you of this conversation . All the best for the rest of the season .

With all due respect mate, your owners have no more money, or no greater ambition than our owners have when we finished 7th. However it is difficult to make the next jump.

Many of your fanbase come across as a bit ignorant when you make such statements. You have spent reasonable sums of money, but in honesty you haven't got a single player in where there is an enormous wow factor. The idea you are going to be able to blow teams away financially hasn't really been borne out.

What you've done well though is match up a good manager, recruitment system and playing style and also enormous momentum going your way. What you've done so far is very much the easy bit. Take it from me, as someone who has seen Everton occupy the space you are in for the best part of 15 years, for the most part with very little funds, that is the easiest bit to achieve. What is difficult is to make the next leap. We have thrown a kings ransom at it and messed it up.

I wish you well in as much as I do any other side. I don't have much time for Wolves, they always seem an extremely nationalistic bunch whenever they come to Goodison, one minute singing anti-scouse songs and the next wondering why people from Liverpool don't easily take common cause with them. I'd also say, the idea you have overtaken us, in the eyes of the football world is a tad dismissive and insulting. You've yet to even qualify for Europe. When you start doing that on a semi-regular basis, and maybe put 4 or 5 seasons of top half finishes together then we can have another debate.

The way your lot are getting on, you'd think Wolves were a powerhouse of European football.

This was your first win at our ground in 40 years lol

We've been in the top flight for almost 60 consecutive years. I'm not sure when the last time was your lot lasted in the top flight for 60 months. You are having a great season. Enjoy it. It's not going to last too long. It never does for yo yo teams such as yourselves.
