I'm not making out as a club overall we are on your level, but currently as it stands we are. We are competeing around the same level. We are two points better off than you currently. Not saying either way if it will last, but you cant really argue in football terms we are at pretty similar levels right now.

---

Yep, you have won more honors than us, but thats all in the past. We pionered European football, but it means nothing when you havent won a trophy in decades.

---

Cant quite work out what your issue is with us tbh. I havent been abusive or disrespectful. As i mentioned before, i wouldnt expect a fan of another club to take an interest in whats going on elsewhere, but if you did you would see we have huge ambition and our owners have high expectations and want to go places. Time will tell how they go with that, but we are all pretty positive about it.

I doubt anyone has a problem with your fans claiming your team is on a similar level to us, because with you 2 points ahead currently, clearly it is...You have done well this season and look current favourites to get 7th.

The issue here is that Wolves have been up for 1 season and suddenly think that as a club they are now our equals. We've seen this before from the likes of West Ham and Southampton etc and both of them are way more established PL clubs than Wolves.

Whilst Everton have sadly under achieved over the last 30 years we have been one of 6 ever presents in the PL era. Wolves have been in the PL about 5 seasons in total. You've sunk as low as the 4th tier in front of crowds of 4K, and were in League 1 a few years ago. You talk about the pre PL era as if you were on a par with us then and compare your glory years to ours when youve had 1 good decade in your history with decades of lower league football either side.

Your fans need to reign it in a bit. It's one thing getting to 7th in this era (Burnley, West Ham, Southampton have managed it), it's totally different getting consistently in the top 5 or 6 and the last non "Big 6" team to do it was ourselves who are well established. We're struggling massively to get near it now, despite the 3rd highest net spend in the league since about 2014.

Enjoy this period, your club is progressing but your fans need a reality check.

Reckon he's right and we should stop dwelling on the past so much as this stands for nothing in the present, but oh well, here we are.

Let the hate commence.

If they finish 7th and progress further then they will earn respect. They haven't even got 7th yet and as I mentioned, Southampton and West Ham were supposed to be the next big thing not so long ago. Didn't happen though so it's just a word of warning to Wolves fans to not get too carried away.

Not about that though is it?

"Massive club" and that - we were, we're not anymore. Simple as that. Love me or hate me for saying, fact stays the same - we don't have the same pull or reputation anymore.
Historic? Yes, very.
Massive? Current recent history suggest we're so, so far from it it's actually sad to keep living in the past.

As I said - let the hate commence.

I'm not claiming were massive anymore though. Just not accepting a club like Wolves as our equals after just half a season of being the best of the rest, which lets be honest doesnt even prove them to be that impressive. The points total for 7th this season will be considerably lower than the 61 we got under Koeman for example.

Southampton came 7th for a season or 2 after coming from League 1, started claiming how great they were and look at them now.

I'm sure you dont sell your allocation every week. Our away support is fine though.

Tbh mate, i'd love to have been mismanged the way you have. Its nowhere near on a scale we were in the early eighties. Not expecting a fan from another club to know the situation we had, but it was horrendous.

Yep, you have won more honors than us, but thats all in the past. We pionered European football, but it means nothing when you havent won a trophy in decades. Its as i said just something that shapes a football club, it doesnt define its future though.

Yep, i'd agree, Moshiri is rich, net worth about $1.7 billion U.S. Not sure how much the Fosun group are worth overall, but the main man Guo Guangchang is worth about $6.2 billion U.S. Technically, you cant match us for money.

I'm pretty positive Fosun are in it for the long haul. We wont be dropping down the leagues.

I think you have a decent manager, he's been consistant, i also like the way u's play, good luck for the future.

This is danger as coming off as some serious small man syndrome tbh.

Wolves’ owners have buckets of money and are buying some proper players with a decent manager. I think it will go badly wrong as soon as their Chinese owners either:
1. Get bored and leave
2. Fall foul of the CCP and are forced to pull their investment or are brought down for corruption charges (you’re only that rich in China for as long as the government allows it)
3. Fall out with Mendes and the quality players stop coming in.

However, to sit there and tell fans of other clubs to “know their place” is always a bit cringeworthy. Sure, Southampton et al have come and gone and given it the big one in the past, but it’s always better just to ignore them and laugh. Trying to whip out your member for a measuring contest embarrasses both participants and is always particularly prevalent amongst those across the park.

Added to which, this Wolves fan you’re so affronted by seems harmless, reasonably knowledgeable about his stuff and just interested in discussing the match and possibly have some mild banter, for lack of a less irritating word.

The danger for Wolves is what if their relationship with Mendes ends? I agree they've done so well but I also agree their fans shouldn't get carried away by one season too. Just enjoy the ride don't start comparing club sizes. Anyway good luck to them they look a good team with grit and play the right way it will be a tough game tomorrow and they won't just sit and allow us to bully them.

All jokes a side I think it should be a good game of football . I have no doubt you will be up for this one and with rich in your side who’s the one player I would take in heart beat , and you being at home with the crowd behind there team, could ultimately [Poor language removed] my prediction completely up .

Win lose or draw I certainly would not be swapping managers as I believe Nuno is light years ahead of Marco silva when it comes to tactics . He always believes in playing the same way no matter who the opposition and only buys players that fit into his system. This is why in seasons to come I’m confident wolves can make a better fist than you lot have of bridging that gap to the top six . Our owners want the premier league title within 10 years , and as far fetched and delusional as it may seem , i may just get myself down the bookies this weekend and see what odds I can drag out of mr William . all the best for the rest of the season :)
You were going alright until you got to that bit. If we haven't had a shot on target 20 minutes in things could turn very ugly.
