Nup still a long way to go.

There are two really bad teams, so we just have to be less crap than one other. Despite flogging us twice a couple of months ago, I still trust Bournemouth to go really sour.
Hope you’re right. We are in a far worse state than last year with worse players. A team with serious Premier League aspirations do not have a forward line of Gordon , Maupay and McNeill and a manager who is content to have his back line pass the ball between themselves for the last 2 minutes of a must win home match against the bottom of the league. There are no goals in this team whatsoever.

I remember this time last season people were making exactly the same argument you're putting forward.

Look how narrowly we escaped. And that was with Richarlison in the team.

We are in dire, dire trouble. And yet there are still those among us sleepwalking.

Judging by our goal celebration yesterday so many of our players are far better dancers than footballers but if I want to see good dancing I'll watch the BBC on a Sat night.

In fact that goal celebration was the most organised thing about us yesterday ffs

If we ever take the lead ever again how about getting on with asap, put the opposition under more pressure, and who knows we may even score a second when their heads are still down.
Score a second goal right away? Pressure the opposition? That's just crazy talk!....

(I'm surprised it was only 5 or 6 of them doing the conga or macarena or whatever it was)

Some of the players are not good enough for the PL. That is not their fault. Their selection for the first team is entirely down to the mismanagement of the club over several years. Frank may be or may not be a top class manager. I suspect he is not. However a top manager would struggle to drag Maupay, McNeill, Gordon, Yarmalenko and several others up to the necessary standard. Nothing except new decent quality signings will start to change this downward trajectory.

Oh my days that was ******* ****. I expected a little more festive fayre than we actually received. Admittedly, I know our current level and I wasn't expecting succulent turkey, pigs in blankets, those little sausage meat balls, stuffing, bread sauce, gravy and five veg. Neither was I expecting the half a congealed roast potato, five cold sprouts and the piece of chicken which had already been through next door's labrador that we received. It was awful. Absolutely no quality, no fight and no shape or game management whatsoever. I can't believe the fans are getting it in the ear for wanting the team to attack in injury time against the side bottom of the league. 30 seconds before their winner I said they could quite easily break through us and settle it whilst we were fannying about running down the clock, and unfortunately they did. Hats off to Wolves, while we were passing sideways trying to decide what to do they took the ball off us and the points, more in a "go on then, we'll have all three if you don't want them" than a barnstorming finish.
I can't help but wonder if the hierarchy are too consumed with the new stadium rather than our 'squad'. BML looks absolutely fantastic, but with the (lack of) effort these lot are putting in it'll be like a tone deaf pub singer headlining at the Albert Hall.
It's going to be tight if yesterday's anything to go by, and I'd be very surprised if at least one of the two on show at Goodison yesterday don't go down. The fans can't continue to carry these over the line like we did last season. Still, it was good to see all you fellow Blues again, UTFT!

Yarmalenko is considering legal action for defamation of character through involving him with us ⚖️
