get real , nice lad with lots of effort but he has absolutely no ability as a striker or a wideman.

What we all have to remember is ...the fact that Pre Season friendlies ... are just that.We have (give or take) half of our starting 11 on the pitch in the first half.The second half we have the rest.Mix that in with a bit of the youth squad and it ain't half bad.It's just a warm up exercise that also gives Roberto a chance to see what is coming up through the ranks.BETIS battered us off the park at Goodison last year......... and we won.Friendlies mean Jack IMO.

I agree. I'm more concerned with the lack of squad depth.

Thought Browning and Besic impressed. Duffy had another solid appearance, done well this preseason. Bit disappointed Kennedy and Long didn't get any time. Other than that we were a bit shambolic, all over the place and no real consistent performers. Granted our formation seemed a bit off. What was that 433? Browning looked like the only blue shirt on the left side.

We have already pushed the boat out once in signing Lukaku, we have to do it again and bring in another striker . When you play 3-5-2 the wing backs are as good as wingers anyway and Baines,Oviedo and Coleman love to drive forward , but all of that will be useless without goalscorers.

crap player in a group of good players. not as if his goals were pin point screamers or down to his own individual skill/brilliance.
ie hibbert played in his position would have scored imo.
hes not a wideman , hes not a striker , at best hes he back up ........ for barkley and then its osman and then its Naismith.

besic and mcarthy look like they starting pair in centre mid for me , barry has been well off the pace so far. hopefully lukaku mirallas and coleman will be available for the opener
