im OK with that, Kone impressed me, gives us an option, great workout for oviedo, pienaar is still quality, he does the unexpected which is one of the things we've been missing recently, Garbutt spot on, great prospect, mcaleny needs to learn its a team game. However i've never seen a pro goalkeeper jump out of the way of a shot since brucie and his hilarious wobbly legs were around.

It was a great night for the kids to play with some of the first team squad against decent opposition. Great for the club, result irrelevant ........

Personally think he should've played a couple more who were on the fringe of the first team, if only to give the youngsters who were playing a better chance to impress.

Overall I guess it served a purpose. Good for the lads who got their chance tonight.

tbf, because we have so many injuries, he couldn't. if stones is injured, someone like distin could come in. gibson could have played if he was fit. osman could have played if naismith wasn't injured etc.

in the long run, it was far more benefical to have all the young lads playing instead of those mentioned. i see what you mean though,
