Not gonna complin about Atkinson even though he's gash because we should have blitzed them but for far too often looked to play route one or in the case of some players, route minus one.

Need to avoid being intimidated in our own back yard by an out of form team who's manager is on the verge of the sack.

Missed opportunity, indeed.

I don't know which was worse;

1) not sending Lucas off for the 2nd blatant yellow
2) allowing their free kick to be taken miles up the pitch from where the offence was committed
3) intercepting Barkley's pass

The man is a joke and should not have been allowed to ref the game after his 2010 calamity.

and the ball was moving when he took it. We got pulled up for that only a couple of minutes before...that ref is a cheat

We had no plan to attack....just playing the ball forward and praying for something to happen.

No team deserved the win today, fair result.

Rom was good, rest took 60 mins to get up to their normal level. Again we've bottled it simple as that. Played a bit when we were down, as soon as we were level fear set in, too many players scared to win. They came for a draw and got it.

.....not sure we bottled it. Maybe a bit of belief in the top third but I couldn't be too critical of anybod. Galloway is a Rolls Royce and Mori coped very well. Inexperienced back four needs the keeper to demand crosses. Barkley kept his very decent form.

Deulofeu disappointed but you could see from his reaction that he knew he hadn't played well.

It's easy to say that the referee had a bad game, but the ref really did have a poor game. Even so we should've beat them, they're mid table dross, and after our supposed good start and their bad one, they are 1 point behind us.

4) booking Ross too when Can was clearly the aggressor
5) booking Rom too when Sakho was clearly the agressor

it's as if Atkinson thinks that when Liverpool commit foul-play he has to punish us too. That's RS-logic.

As much as it was there for the taking, they are still a decent side and they've obviously upped their performance for today's game (as they always do).

I think we're two very evenly matched teams tbh, and the results against them over the past few years show that.
