It won't get picked up on by most but I really thought Barkley was excellent today. Yeah, it didn't always come off for him but I love how he doesn't get phased by it, you can see that confidence running through his veins and rightly so.

It was really tough for all our forwards today as Liverpool were so solid defensively, but he never shirked the responsibility and always went looking to make things happen.

100% agree. Thought he took responsibility for almost everything we had going forward and that bodes well for the future

you are dreaming he could have done better although I am not critiising him

By doing better you mean taking two or three on and slotting in the top bin don't you?

Liverpool were well drilled today and we weren't at our fluent best going forward. In the circumstances I thought he did well.

Shout out for Jagielka who was superb again today. Three other defenders playing in this fixture for the 1st time and he was excellent. Funes Mori had a decent game, composed, calm played well alongside jags. Galloway has really turned into an excellent left back hasn't he? His game is developing on all fronts and it has to be said that due to this, Baines has hardly been missed. Cracking !

Lukaku was superb today. I give him dogs abuse at times but he was on it today. Using his strength and power, bringing others into play and buzzing around the pitch causing problems. Composure for his goal, Everton's MOTM for me for his all round display.

Too many long balls, too many rushed hit and hope balls instead of playing our usual game was frustrating to see at times. Browning and Barry guilty of this time and again. Thought kone should of come on for Naismith earlier, Lennon for Deulofeu at half time. For the majority of the game it felt we lacked the urgency and speed going forward with Lukaku on a different level to everyone else around him.

Feels like 2 points dropped as we had enough to get at that weak back line of theirs and didn't put them under any real threat.

It was a brilliant save but he had to score that. That would've killed the Liverpool players as well, given they'd started quite well only to find themselves a goal down.

Anfield game will still be tough, and probably very important in the context of where we finish this season.

I don't think Naisy had a good match, he should have been in the box more with Lukaku had the ball on the flanks. However that header was almost top corner and with pace.

Last game at Goodison for god knows how long, gutted. Last one out the ground hahaha. Not being there every game for the next few years is going to be horrible. Really wish we could've just done it. At least in LA I can sleep through the Derby and check the score in the morning lol
