How bad do they have to be for us to beat them? 4/35 now. It is absolutely embarrassing.

Naismith should just not be starting games for a Premier League team with aspirations of getting into the top 4.

Feels like a defeat.
Doesn't feel anything like a defeat to me. It feels like a vindication of the position that we are a superior football team but just couldn't get our noses in front.

We've all tasted defeat to these at a bad point for us...this is far, far away from being anything of the sort.

Great start to the season so far.

Them? They'll fall like a stone in the table in the next few weeks as Spurs, Southampton, City, Palace take the bulk of those points.

I'd rather be us than them.

Shout out for Jagielka who was superb again today. Three other defenders playing in this fixture for the 1st time and he was excellent. Funes Mori had a decent game, composed, calm played well alongside jags. Galloway has really turned into an excellent left back hasn't he? His game is developing on all fronts and it has to be said that due to this, Baines has hardly been missed. Cracking !

Lukaku was superb today. I give him dogs abuse at times but he was on it today. Using his strength and power, bringing others into play and buzzing around the pitch causing problems. Composure for his goal, Everton's MOTM for me for his all round display.

Too many long balls, too many rushed hit and hope balls instead of playing our usual game was frustrating to see at times. Browning and Barry guilty of this time and again. Thought kone should of come on for Naismith earlier, Lennon for Deulofeu at half time. For the majority of the game it felt we lacked the urgency and speed going forward with Lukaku on a different level to everyone else around him.

Feels like 2 points dropped as we had enough to get at that weak back line of theirs and didn't put them under any real threat.

I have been missing Baines ability to go forward and put crosses in. Galloway doesn't do that.

People get really carried away with this. It isn't the Tyneside Derby with two awful teams capable of beating each other, Liverpool are always going to be difficult for us to play against.

Just look at how much they've spent over those past 35 games, just look at some of the players they've had over that time.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he is really proud of his players and they are improving with every game.

In other words, please, please don't sack me - I aint finished paying for me gnashers yet

Agree with all that.

Disappointed really. Both Palace And Leceister would have crushed the Reds today. Rodgers was very lucky Martinez hasn't learned the killer instinct at the moment.

With respect to Palace and Leicester I think those Liverpool players are slightly more motivated playing against us than them.

Last game at Goodison for god knows how long, gutted. Last one out the ground hahaha. Not being there every game for the next few years is going to be horrible. Really wish we could've just done it. At least in LA I can sleep through the Derby and check the score in the morning lol
Savour it mate.
Look forward to no sleep and early morning starts instead.
All the best in LA
