3 generations of blues going to wembley for the first time tomorrow, sorting stuff out made me realise that while a win would be great, its not really about that. Dreamt for years of taking the lad to wembley, he is going with uncles, cousins, dad and grandad, and so proud.

A casual united fan at work asked why am i so obsessed with us when we dont win stuff.....?

while this is anoying enough tonhe asked, i wanted to try and explain.

My answer was, i see Everton as a representation of the my family, and the city of my heritage. So if and when ppl talk down or have a pop, it feels like my family is getting ridiculed.

Its old fashioned I know, but most of my values and principles have come from football, and i take those into my every day life.

He got it then!!

I know thats deep lads sorry, ive had a few but im now looking forward to our day.
Take pics mate.

I know it's not what blues do.. But when we beat united on pens last time at Wembley, I somehow had the presence of mind to take some pics of my lad celebrating with his grandad as the ball hit the net..

Simply, the best pics I've ever taken. Pure emotion.

That is ace mate, you will never forget that moment.

At that semi, me and my dad was next to the lad that got jags boots, when he scored that pen we was both hugging in floods of tears, one of the best moments of my life......we had been up
And down the country together for years and it felt like that moment was because of those times....kind of defined my bond with my arl fella.

Game starts at 2am here and I just know I should stay in bed and give it a miss, but that "Everton" + FA CUP feeling has started to kick in!
I know we shouldn't win this but it's a funny old game and you never know.

So until the final whistle... Come On Everton lets do these!!!

Oh, and it's a long weekend here so win win
(lest we forget)
just stay up mate!

About time we won one. Let el Bob move on on a high. Perhaps if they all kiss the badge when the walk on, rather then when they have to go off, our brave boys, whowever is left to hold the fort, will get the message.

3-1, or we win on penalties. I don't mind which.

COYB. Oh it's a Grand Old Team to play for, etc....

And thanks Chico for the preview.

We have nothing to lose but optimism itself!
