When lads on here say "we competed" I think we should be saying "Kept them at bay".

Our players are not good enough to compete with the top teams in this division no matter what CA does tactically. Sadly it looks like another year passes us by and many more "Transitional" seasons to get anywhere near...

Second best tonight in every single aspect, this is all I have ever known as an Evertonian, always plenty of teams that are better than us....

It really brings out the romantic in me when you see the richest team in the league win everything. Its a beautiful game. Let's hope city dominate for the next 20 years. Thier money deserves it. Capitalism is fantastic but it really shines in sport. Glorious.

Thought DCL had his best game for a while. Worked hard got some good flick ons and hold up play was much improved. Gomez played well. But Godfrey was immense I thought. Gonna go on to be a great this lad.

We’ve competed against all of last seasons top 6 in all competitions, only the two Manc teams (twice but two out the 4 settled late on) and Chelsea have beaten us. We took 4 points off both Liverpool and Leicester, beat Spurs twice, beat Arsenal and Chelsea at home and drew at Old Trafford

We are gradually getting there but it was never going to be done in 18 months, there’s still too much clutter in the squad, but yet we’re minimal points off a European place, with 10 games left
