Plus the VAR-sole tonight was Atwell who mistakenly gave West Ham a corner from which they scored the winner at Goodison and clearly enjoyed his night's work the other week when we lost 5-0 at Spurs.

That's fine, I don't think it is a popular view, but I really think football is way too tolerant of tackles with absolutely no intent to do anything but foul. It makes the game worse more than anything but also at times more dangerous.

If they gave them consistently I could accept it. That's the first of those thats been a red. Its abysmal refereeing

No I'm totally on board with this. Football is refereed largely on precedent more than the rules and those aren't reds 98% of the time.

I actually wouldn't mind that tackle being red as he made zero attempt on the ball.

But.... those are never reds!! You cannot give one red and the other 99% as yellow. Thats not acceptable.

i know its small time but wanted to see what other fans of the relegation threatened sides thought after our win

there's a burnley forum which had a thread called "come on newcastle" lol

the leeds forums were pretty much dead

the watford forum was quite funny, my favourite post was "so long as we beat Liverpool this result doesn't matter. Keep the faith m8s." and "That's probably Norwich relegated tonight."

the norwich fans already know they are down and one stated "Well I for one am quite pleased with this result. Want Leeds down with us , we will probably aid that further by losing at home to Burnley in a few weeks time" and also pointed out that that plastic tie-wraps are a by-product of refined oil making the protestor a hypocrit.

A newcastle fan called Jordan posted "I want the ugliest scrappiest goal possible in the last minute." and there was a great post after we scored the winner from a fan who said "Eff off ‘manager of the month’ award"
