Poor, but expected - still a pre-season game, cohesion and pace isn't there.

Calvert-Lewin improved as the half went on. Rooney and Klaasen will be fantastic together this year I reckon.

However, Martina's positioning is all over the shop and I'd happily see Williams released on a free.

We are playing to much at feet, instead of penetration passes behind the back four.
Guye has been good and Klassen is a real workhorse. Calvin-Lewis has showed glimpses of what he can be.
Mirallas is Mirallas, started good but faded away as always.

We need a passer in midfield that can opens the defense, no one on the bench that springs to mind.

That's half of what he is - he's also clearly very, very switched on. Spots space like lightning.

Already convinced he's a top signing. Same with Keane.

Don't think Martinas made one pass yet. He's absolutely awful. Can't see why we bought him.

Wrong. Him and Lewin have been a threat. We are slow-ish but more pace will come. Klausen has good movement and can break up attacks. There are NO easy games in this competition. Fancy us 3-0 by the finish. Some class from Rooney but he faded a little towards half time. When we click we will look very good.

Awful first half
Martina is not good enough, awful passing for a premiere league player. No pace no creativity.
Davy look disappointing. He doesn't seems to drop deeper and make things happen preferring to lurk around the edge of the box and scrapping for loose ball at most.
DCL same old as last season.
The GAP between Morgan/Gana and the front 4 is difficult to watch. Barkley use to drop in and try to make things happen receiving the ball from our defensive midfielder. Nothing of that sort from our new players at the moment.

Koeman has a huge task ahead of him to find a new way of playing

The team doesn't fit the players it seems.

Lewen isn't a wide player, he can't do much out wide and against a premier league team he would be anonymous.

Rooney isn't getting played to like a striker, he is wandering about to get the ball when he should be the focal point everyone else plays to.

Martina looks like he struggles to play to play football.

No speed in the team, that will cost us in the league unless lookman and sandro can have a big impact.

Why are we crossing the ball to head ? We have no-one to get their head on it, requirement in the market.

Plus Rooney looks quality and playing a testimonial at the same time haha not sure how to describe it

I'm telling you guys- this is where Rooney worries me. He needs to be the on getting in behind the opposition and providing a threat. He is being easily dealt with by a Slav no name side... he is struggling to get in behind and when his hold up play is sloppy he really adds nothing. Lukaku would be taking this squadron to pound town. We need to get Sandro on the field and provide a genuine pacey threat. Hopefully Koeman does that or Wayne gets his act together because Klassen is doing his job.

I'm with ya. DCL has been the only really bad performance. Rooney, Schneiderlin, Keane and Klaassen pretty good, the rest a bit meh.

DCL was poor first 30, decent last 15.
