Valente still will need games as he was out for a long time last year, hes one of my if not my favourite player, he was amazing when 100% fit and a very nice person.

Yes he does bring a different dimension to us and has a attacking mentality which as a fan you have to love. I'am a big fan too but I know he just can't be the every day selection we want him to be.

Of course not, hes familar with injuries and his age doesn't help.

If only we picked him up a while ago :(

2-0

Anichebe to score 1st, then a kilbane OG...

...we dominate...

...team...

Howard

Jags - yobo - stubbs - lescott (valentes been crap)

Osman - Carsley/neville - Da Silva/neville - Arteta

Anichebe - Johnson

Could,nt make it today but not a bad forecast dom it sounded like arteta was streets ahead again

Stubbs was a rock, Arteta had their defence wrapped round his little finger, pienaar making an instant impact.

after all is said and done, 3 points in the bag.

Best players out there was arteta, anichebe and howard...the rest were average, Johnson didnt acutally do much, (apart from the assist!) and the defenders yobo, lescott, stubbs were fustrating because they kept hoofing the ball.

The owrst player today in my opinion would be carsley...

Arteta once again great, however he ha was about 1 or 2 metres infront of the goal and didnt blast it!! instead he passed to johnson on the edge of the box!!!

Though pienaar was good...and neville was actually pretty good...

glad anichebe scored :) he played good, he just needs to get his flick ons more accurate...

Radio had Stubbs as the man-of-the-match and gave credit to Carsley (who appeared to make a couple of crucial break-ups of attacks).

For those who were there, what was the story with the goal - on the commentary it seemed to come out of the blue.

Moyes' verdict was that it wasn't a penalty, by the way, although the commentators reckoned it was 100%. We'll see on Monday (or tonight for those of you in the UK).

With a few players out and hopefully a few more to come a win is a good result. I'm not expecting Brazilian football just yet, 3 points will do me just fine (and I won my vbet too :D )
