Its a two way thing

Fans can only do so much. If that is the effort our players want to put in then we cant win in this league.
How could we honestly get behind that performance, the players were actually making the crowd frustrated because they couldn’t get out of their own half with seven or eight passes before turning back with another four or five passes back to Pickford who then started the whole frightening passing out again with hardly any progress forward. It was boring and pitiful to watch professional footballers scared witless when receiving the ball, none of them wanted it and it was patently obvious none of them knew how to take control and make ground, draw an opponent out and pass the ball forward for a team mate to run onto, pathetic, give us something exciting to watch and we know how to get behind the team, there was nothing much today, we’re not stupid we can’t cheer hopelessness.

Frank Lampard says Everton fans have every right to boo the team off after his team slipped to another defeat at Goodison Park
?

That’s nice of him.

Another terrible performance.

I just don’t get it…

Play out from the back then instantly get into trouble and hoof it.

Take ages to take throw ins because there’s no movement, and no one wants it.

Spend most of our possession with Doucoure and Godfrey passing it sideways across defence just inside the half way line then give up the moment we are pressed and pass it back to Pickford who promptly hoofs it.

Pickford makes a save or collects a ball and wants to release it and get a move going. But everyone’s heads are down slowly walking, no one wants the ball and he’s frustrated.

Richarlison rightly presses the defence and goalkeeper chasing them down, and they just pass it round him because no one else can be arsed.

Doucoure again, taking months to control the ball turn and pass, it’s like slow motion and just passes backwards.

The players generally just slowing momentum, by either passing behind the man or passing it past them so they have to run to get it. Loose passes everywhere.

No shooting of shots. Richarlison had some good chances and the crowd were getting pumped. But it was straight back to doing the stuff above that totally killed the energy and momentum,

I thought they’d be well up for it today. Wolves were a decent team with their sexy foreign mercenaries, but could they have not shown a bit more for a packed Goodison.

Jesus wept.

The worst part is, when they put an extra man in midfield instead of up front, it means they don't want any trouble. They'd have happily taken a 0-0 or narrow defeat and skulked off, but it would have been clear to them at half-time that all three points were there for the taking.

I don't know what Lampard is playing at with this 5-2-3. The midfield got absolutely legged today by a fella who's older than he is.

Completely lost our heads 2nd half. A few players tried to show they care by putting in stupid challenges. Kenny's red card felt inevitable. Hopefully that's stamped out immediately because it's hard enough getting a result with 11 on the pitch.
