Everton Youth Teams Thread

I understand Walsh can't play until January because he is registered on loan with Birmingham. In January the club could let him he be part of the first team squad and train with them every day. If he's good enough he may get on the bench at least and even a few appearances as a sub. The likelihood is we will be mid table and games aren't "must win" so would be ideal to give him a chance. At least we as fans can be satisfied the club have had a proper look at him. If it's clear he's not good enough then we could probably look at getting a better price for him if he's got a few premiership appearances. Letting him go for a limited fee without giving him a proper chance in first team environment would be reckless and possibly something we will very much regret.
At this stage I would even be happy with him going on loan in January and then taking a good look in pre season. Just dont see what the rush is unless the lad himself is pushing for it.

Well then you’re just a buffoon. I like Walsh I’m just not shocked he’s possibly getting sold and not massively bothered either.
Lol

Buffoon and strange. My missus would likely agree with you actually and she's always right too!!

And if you are, in fact, not bothered if the lad stays or goes, why are you making all these posts. I'm discussing it with you precisely because K am bothered. Where I agree with one of your posts Id normally like it. If I disagreed Id sometimes comment. If I cba with the post I'd probably just ignore it. Not get into an argument with multiple posters and start name callingif they dontagree with you.

I think you're more bothered than you're letting on.

I need to know how well Dowell is playing bar the boss goals.

Because Forest are the most inconsistent team I've ever seen.

Appreciate he can only do so much with the players around him like but i'd be interested to hear about his 90 minute contribution.

...not sure which thread to post this in but it’s an Everton youth team reunion. Bit of a blast from the past as I remember watching these guys back in the day. Really good that they retain the special camaraderie (clue) of playing for our club.

Been ages since I've been in this thread, but watching the game again last night while Mrs Nigh was grading and really was impressed with Kenny. The kids are making me excited for the future of the club--but what is the consensus on all the lads? If you add in guys like Sandro and Vlasic with the ones we have on loan (Walsh, Dowell?) with those who came through and are first team (Davies, Kenny) with those who've been grafted in (Holgate, Calvert-Lewin, Lookman*) with all the kids purchased recently (Onyekuru, Bowler, Gibson, the French lad, the kid with ZZZZZs in his name, and the other one), plus all the kids who've seen a few minutes (Williams, Feeny, Pennington) and those who've not yet seen the first team (???), it seems like there's got to be talent ready to push through into the first team.

Is that right, or did I just get too worked up watching the game again last night?

*Lookman should probably go in the group with Sandro and Vlasic, not with Holgate and DCL, but still

..Walsh has returned early from his loan spell at Birmingham and appears to be leaving on a permanent transfer to Bristol City. Dowell and Connolly look the loanees with a possibility of having a future at Everton (not sure of the situation with Onyekuru). Gibson is a bit younger than the others but is getting game time as a CB for the U23s.

Disappointed but I hope Walsh enjoys his football for Bristol City. I'm not sure I've ever watched him play, but everything I've read on him has been positive.
