Four were certainties after their U23 performances, Mampala snuck in with a few u18;goals and late U23s game time . Phillips is unknown to me , his name caught my eye when he got an Academy player award recently but I never figured what it was for.He, Mampala and Ouzounidis may struggle for game time next season.
Without wishing to be harsh, none of those released by us has shown anything consistent over two years . Tom Scully showed promise at times , but reality was that our U23s were weakened at the end of the season and if theyd shown potential they’d behave been promoted . Good luck to them all, hope they all make a living in the game.

Denny and Hornby ive heard most about here so assume they are the only ones capable of the step up and the others more of a 'give them another chance'...
It appears as though there may be a number of u23s shifted on as well? Looking at the loans theyve had and shown something enough to be sold to a lower league side...
Will be interesting to see what happens to Connolly, williams and robinson i think.
..I suppose you can add Pennington to those 3 names, even though he’s just been given a new contract. It comes to a point where decisions have to be made about these individuals.
Baffles me that Pennington deal.
He looked quite poor for us, goes to Leeds and cant even nail down a place, we then give him a 3 year contract.

All could have easily been sold already for £1mil+ each which shows how well theyve performed.
The concerning ones would be galloway and garbutt who i think will be hard to shift, even if we paid their contracts off theyre unlikely to have contracts flying at them.
Mathis seems a disasterous signing and ive no idea what enticed us to get hin.
How have Nathangelo Markelo and the lad we bought from fulham done?
Im assuming the geordie centre half (gibson) should be a fixture at centre back in the u23s next season?

Markelo - Only got a couple of appearances in his proper position but he's good
Aderinan - Splits opinion but I'm a fan
Gibson - Already an U23 regular at CB and sometimes LB
We still pay our afterthoughts vastly more than Leeds pay their best player Zat, im almost certain.
...I presume Adeniran has been injured because he hasn’t featured for a while. He’s got the physicality to be a player but I think he’s been a bit disappointing. Saying that, it must take a while for these kids to settle into a new club in a new city.
I read an interview with Unsworth a while back that said that before his injury Adeniran had been training quite a lot with the first team squad and that the senior coaches had been really impressed by him, so there must be some potential there.
