Everton u18s win the match 3-2 v wolves-Kieran Phillips double and an Ellis Simms with goals
Next game away to Derby next weekend and it might be on the derby website if they still show u18s games there

what a game this was, Man city won there 1st game in the u23s v Arsenal 6-5,arsenal missed a pen at 4-4 and hit the post in injury time that would have made it 6-6 lol

Kieran Phillips has been scoring a few goals recently. There’s a video of u18 pre season goals , done in the usual Everton fashion , 1 camera no commentary, no names , and though it’s hard to tell it looks like Phillips is scoring a few , I have him down as the tall lanky one bigger than the others if I’m right.
It’s hard to piece together his recent story. He is now 18 and was in the same Scholar year as Hornby/ Denny so should really be with the U23s . I don’t remember seeing his name in any u 18 squad, then at the end of season awards he won an award for Education and Involvement or something similar. I thought he’d gone but we’ve given him a year’s contract and it seems he’s suffered an horrendous injury as an u18 . So it looks like we’re giving him a chance to pick up his career again and he’s making the most of his comeback from injury. At some stage this season he’ll likely move up to U23s to see if he can get another contract.

I was looking again at the preseason goals, it’s definetly Kieran Phillips scoring goals with his left foot, right foot and a towering header . His injuries have kept him under the radar until know , but seems like one to watch out for in future games.

Going by some chelsea fan,he seems to think that its the way chelsea are going this season,not showing there u23s/u18s games etc as they usually do,but he has no idea why
