Everton Youth Teams Thread

Speaking of the murky world of youth football I’ve been told their is a story to break on Everton in the Sunday Telegraph fairly soon which will almost certainly result in a fine and possibly a ban for us.
Aye, someone covered that earlier on this thread. From memory it was a kid from Cardiff we allegedly taped up , cocked it up and United eventually took him on.

The glaring thing for me , sadly, was just how poor Galloway was , how far he has fallen from the promise of a few years ago . I thought Foulds had a decent game , possibly the best I’ve seen him play as a Centre Back, and there’s the crux of it . About 18 months ago Galloway came back from somewhere , played CB for the U23s and looked pretty decent in a few end of season games. If Galloway was showing anything in training and actual games he’d be the one playing left centre back, not Foulds who even on his day is not as good as the younger Gibson.
Though it was a good team performance tonight, no one stood out as being ready to break into the first team squad this season. Evans missed a sitter that he would have calmly slotted away 3 years ago when he burst on the scene with a bagful of goals, then stupidly got sent off. Adeniran showed the most promise and also the physicality to suggest there’s more to come . Sambou still leaves me undecided, that was a very well taken goal tonight and he’s developing good physical strength, we just don’t see enough goals from him.
I thought they played okay against a more experienced Bradford team, as you say nobody really stood out tonight, I was
disappointed in the defending after we went down to ten men, there was not a player with the guile or sense to put their
foot on the ball and calmly play the ball out of the defence, just hoofed it straight down the field to an opposition player, couldn't even kick it out of play to gain some seconds respite, but they will eventually learn, hopefully.

It's just occurred to me that I am playing football at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon just around the corner from their training ground.... Wonder if I can ditch the gf early enough to get there!

Any idea how I can get tickets, or do I just turn up on the door/gate? @blueloon @Ring master?

My brother is getting married meaning I miss both Everton matches against Fulham and he is a blue.

So selfish.

Broadhead 26
Excellent goal from the Welshman. He drove at the Benfica defence, slalomed his way pasttheir last defender. Through on goal, Duarto made a fine stop but he slotted home the rebound

Bowler 29
A terrific break forward sees Hornby look for Adeniran, he then picks out Bowler who coolly finishes past Duarto
Make it 2-0 ht
