Everton Youth Teams Thread

2020-21 FA Youth Cup campaign will re-commence from Saturday 20 March 2021.

This season’s competition was temporarily suspended in January 2021 following the announcement of the UK Government’s current national COVID-19 restrictions. While the competition could have continued under ‘elite’ protocols, the health and wellbeing of staff and players were given priority.

Our Youth Participation and Development Committee, which is responsible for its management, has consulted with key stakeholders and the competition’s revised schedule is as follows:

• Third Round Proper – 12 outstanding matches to be played by Saturday 20 March 2021;
• Fourth Round Proper – To be played by Saturday 3 April 2021;
• Fifth Round Proper – To be played by Saturday 17 April 2021;
• Quarter Finals – To be played by Saturday 1 May;
• Semi Finals – To be played by Saturday 15 May 2021;
• Final – To be played by Saturday 29 May.

We will continue to monitor the national COVID-19 situation, our dialogue with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and, if necessary, provide any further updates on the competition at the earliest opportunity.

fairly late getting his deal sorted, looked like he might have been on his way out in the summer

Kouyate Cannon Dobbin front 3 for u23 next season hopefully. If just one of them can get close to the level for 1st team could make or save us a fortune. He looks a slightly better all round striker than Simms in the few clips I've seen of both.

Doesn't have the size or physicality of simms but looks a good finisher.

At this stage I'm just hoping Dobbin can stay injury free, usually when our promising players get a lot of injuries around that age they are never able to kick on.

Seeing him standing next to Brands he’s no small fry... so no question marks there at least

Birmingham u18s game is also LIVE on Birmingham facebook

Thierry Small has grown about 6 ins in since he appeared at U18s about a year ago, I thought he was going to be a Kenny Sansom type stocky player back then . I don’t think we’ll have any worries about his physicality , height and build when he eventually stops growing.

Has Thierry signed a pro contract with Everton, there seemed some doubt a couple of months ago with some top club, here and abroad interested in him, alledgelly.

They can only sign a pro contract once they are 17 which is August for Small. 5/7 of the 10 scholars who started with him have signed usually 6/7 per year get offered so I expect him to be announced and maybe one other that might impress between now and the end of next season. The main thing is for him to be gently introduced to the squad as he's a good age to be ready to take over from Digne in 4 years.
