Is Apter an under 17?

Yeah , 16 now , first year Scholar, was with the u 16s last year but started 10 games for the u18s , plus a few off the bench. He started the City game early in the season when we drew 1-1 and he looked comfortable without being spectacular . That was the most I saw of him, the rest was just bits , so looking forward to getting a better view of him this season. If he started that many games as a Schoolboy it suggests Tait rates him .

5 subs now and a team desperately lacking absolutely anything going forward. Get rid of him!

FL spoke about young players in the last few days saying they start pre season really well because they tend to come back fit and hugely enthusiastic.
They make a big initial impact but then can tail away as everybody else catches up with them.
He said the challenge for them is to continue making that impact as pre season continues and game get more demanding.
The test for the young players is to continue to impress and if they are still getting minutes in the games closer to tthe start then they are in the managers thoughts.

Indeed disappointing if true, Samuels -Smith would have caught their eye in the Youth Cup match we lost to United. United are also rumoured to be poaching Spurs ‘ England u16 left back Jayden Meghoma, according to reports. He played in the same England team as Samuels-Smith, it’s crazy in a way that they can hoover up the best English talent.

Turns out Meghoma might be going to Southampton.
