Everton Youth Teams Thread

Lewis Warrington was excellent at Fleetwood last season, certainly one of the best if not the best player in the squad.
At one stage, Brown tried to drop him for a few games and it was noticeable how the team fell apart.
He was a very busy, positive influence. Always looking to press forward.

If I remember right he played a little bit last pre season for us and looked like he had something about him. He might be another that should be on the verge of the first team if he's improved enough. Not sure his age fits in with dyches ideas though.

Played Onana and Garner last year. They're a year or so older. Warrington's only just had a decent loan at a mid table League One side, not sure that makes him ready to join the 1st team. Let's not act as if it's age that will be the issue just so we can bash Dyche.

That wasn't my intention at all. I don't think he brings through or should I say necessarily trusts young players, that's not bashing him. I'd like to see a lot of the young lads given minutes here and there unless they can get a good loan to progress them as a player. I thought it was criminal last season when he was picking two goalkeepers to fill up the bench.

Fair enough. A lot of people do, without bothering to think/check if it's actually true!

Hmm yeah, but that's been going on for ages, he's not the first to do that iirc?

Talking of goalkeepers, which is vaguely mentioned above, anybody know what’s happened to our highly rated 15 year old goalkeeper Doug Lukjanciks? Last I saw of him he was playing for England u15s last autumn and some other mentions about then. It’s quite usual for the club to keep 15 year olds under wraps , but I don’t think I’ve seen him at England level either. Maybe an injury . (He’s too young to be a Scholar this season. )

Can anyone identify this player? I assume he’s from the U21’s. Djankpata maybe?

He had his leg in a cast or surgery but don't know what exactly the injury was. He's a late 07 so U16 this year

Loan him out at a championship team and if he does well there, then the 1st team discussion seems more appropriate then
