Everton Youth Teams Thread

thats listed as a 1st team game so assumed they would split the squads across the 2 games on Saturday
From the ticketing info on the site

Id guess a few might be fast tracked to the first team squad at this rate.

Would rather have U18s left back than play Godfrey there.

Loan him out at a championship team and if he does well there, then the 1st team discussion seems more appropriate then
Lewis Warrington was on loan to Tranmere for six months the season before last then was loaned to Fleetwood last season where he did very well, he has trained through the summer to get ready for this season, he was the only player who played throughout the game in the friendly in Switzerland last week, with th depleted squad we have this season with Doucoure and Guey likely to go the African tournament in January I think it would be better to keep hIm with the first team squad this season and give him some game time with them.

…yep, at a club like ours its not a good sign if youngsters are sent on a number of loans. If Dyche doesn’t want to use the likes of Dyche, Dobbin and Cannon next season then I doubt they have futures at Everton.

Dobbin is miles away like.

Cannon not so much, Cannon fits a profile Dyche has used before, but still feel a full season out on loan getting 35+ games under his belt would be best for his development.

…..sounds so straightforward but there’s no guarantee Dobbin gets game time on loan. A struggling team or a manager who won’t tolerate a young players dip in form. Loans can be disastrous.

if Cannon has a chance at Everton I think it’s next season, so he needs to impress Dyche enough to want to keep him here. He’s better training with the coaches and players here. If the manager doesn’t want him next season, the signs aren’t good for his future at Everton.

Not sure I agree with that. Player can be wanted but deemed not ready. Which is the question Cannon faces right now. A full season loan somewhere we can trust (Preston was a successful loan spell) would do him no harm whatsoever. Him
Not being deemed ready just yet doesn’t say much on his future. If we aren’t 100% sure he is ready, and we can bring in attackers. Then he should go out on loan, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a. Future here.

You say loans can be disastrous, but they can also be wonderful. No guarantee of anything Ofcourse but he if he goes on loan. Scores plenty and still isn’t fancied. Like Simms, can bring in a transfer fee

Dobbin is miles away from senior action and his derby loan spell was Ok, but didn’t produce many numbers. Everytime I see him he looks a bit lightweight for men’s football.

All comes down to who we bring in.
