Yeah I'm a bit skeptical of how easily he progresses to senior football but at this level he's just massive and far too athletic for his opponents. But like when Simms scored 30 but better

Their team looks big generally , CBs and Martin . Have to say United look a good team , not surprising when you see they’ve won all their league games so far , I think.
Strange to see Akarakiri at 2 , maybe some injuries

United easily the better team , Doug just kept us in the game with a super save.

Yeh he was no.17 on teamsheet which is why the commentator was confused

Not a bad game , u18s at a windy FF can be much worse, although we were outplayed overall . In games like this I’m looking for the few positive points and particularly how players are reacting when they’re not on top.I thought Matos and Olayiwola stuck at it even when outplayed , Graham continues to show he’s prepared to track back and work hard as well as having skill. My first real long look at Clarke , I thought he did very well when getting forward in a team under the cosh , big enough to out jump their defence for a header at corner too, definitely a decent signing who should progress this season. A first look at Olayiwola too , a good size for a 15/16 year old nothing spectacular but enough promise shown. Lukjanciks made somebfine saves and kept the score down . 17 year old goalkeepers usually have sharp reactions , make good saves, but his positioning was pretty good too .

There was one short pass in the 2nd half which nearly put our defenders in trouble as we tried to play it out , they worked it back to him and his next short pass was better and they cleared it. United had a high press and didn’t make it easy for our defence. I ll admit I wasn’t particularly looking for kicking errors from Doug, some may have missed some.
