Everton Youth Teams Thread

Also just posted in the transfer thread:

Cole & Dylan Williams at Airdrie

Everton and Crystal Palace are among a host of clubs tracking Airdrie’s teenage sensations Cole and Dylan Williams, sources have told Football Insider.

The Williams twins have been earning rave reviews for Airdrie’s academy side and the 16-year-old pair have been named on the bench for the first-team in the Scottish Championship this season.

Scouts from clubs in England and Scotland have been alerted to the potential of both players and are readying moves for the duo.

Airdrie are desperate to keep hold of the brothers and are keen to tie them down to professional contracts in a bid to avoid losing them on the cheap.

Stockport play Tranmere tonight in the last game of our EFL Trophy group, 7pm kick off and if anybody is so inclined, it's on Sky Sports Plus. I think we need Stockport to win by 2 goals. It might only be 1 goal needed if it's based on goals scored or head to head but cba reading the rule book to find out.

Also, you might get to watch Tyler Onyango play for Stockport as an added bonus (assuming he isn't injured or rested).

Edit: For anybody curious, the following academies have already been knocked out: Liverpool, Wolves, Newcastle, Fulham, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham

Villa are the only academy already through.

Ourselves, Forest, Man United, Man City, Brighton, Palace, Arsenal, Leicester all could go through tonight depending on results.

Randomly popped into my head but what happened to that signing from Burrton we had? Remember he was a starter when the season kicked off but no idea now where he is.
Tamen, Boakye, Ebere. The 21s will just have an information black hole when a player gets injured.

Good news is the lad on loan at Lyon emerged from the darkness this weekend and scored on his U19 debut for them this weekend

I think Onyango may be injured, he wasn’t in the Stockport squad last Saturday or tonight.

injured. Out for 3 months. Unlucky as he was starting to do well.

Tough on him as it seemed he was progressing as a back 3/ CB player, Stockport are a decent team and they wouldn’t play him if he wasn’t holding his own. And a tough contract decision to be made , let him go in June as he’s unlikely to make our first team squad, extend his contract , another loan and potentially £500k transfer fee.

Don't think anyone will ever pay money for him given his injury history. Nailed on to leave on a free at the end of this season imo.
