The keeper shouts are interesting.

There's a few names who have popped up on here and other sites and i suppose Martinez will have been looking at them through.the scouts.

The tricky part is that Howard needs replacing with someone at the same level as a Barkley/Deulofeu/Stones/Lukaku...other than Butland and a couple of Germans im not sure whose out there...

Next would be someone to replace Robles but potentially good enough in a few seasons to compete with the 1st choice keeper...possibly Bentley at Southend who has been mentioned?

1st : Everton on 35 points from 15 games
2nd : Man city on 32 points from 16 games
3rd : Liverpool on 31 points from 15 games

The other important teams are Blackburn 15/25 and Sunderlans 13/20. If they go on last season, the top four go through to the Elite stage together with top four from Southern division to form an eight team league who play each team once. The winner of that league are the Champs. So despite the last two results we are still well placed to get in the elite group . There are 22 games in our current league.

A good article by Adam Jones who does u18/u21s in the Echo, putting a balanced view on the under 18s 0-8 defeat to Wolves. I'm still puzzled by the extent of the loss , but his review puts a perspective on it.

Six of those starters could have played u18 against Wolves . Great to see a young team out . Strange Griffiths not playing/ in squad as GK wonder if he's injured?
