Everton Youth Teams Thread

Anyone know were i can get hold of top scorer lists etc for the u21 league?
I just copy and paste off the youthhawk.co.uk. site bud just to save people looking it up or for others who arn't aware of it and they usually have the top scorers on that site.il stick it up in awhile if i can see it;):);)

My friend is the sports editor at the Western Gazette. He follows Yeovil up and down the country watching them play and chats to the management and players. He said that Liam Walsh is absolute quality at that level, which I admit is a lot lower than the Prem. He said that he has been scouted by a lot of Championship teams and feels that he could definitely play at that level already, despite still only being 18.

He said his touch and passing are so much better than the other League 2 players and he also likes to put himself about a lot. He's really good in the tackle. Apparently in his first 10 games he was MOM 6 times.

He also said that's he's a nice kid. Quite shy but not at all big time. Which he said is impressive considering how good he is compared to the other players at that level.

Thought I'd share his assessment with you guys. Obviously League 2 is a lot lower than the Premier League but it's all promising for a player so young. He is apparently standing out a lot and looks like he is already ready for a higher level.

Here are a few articles about him:

I'm off to watch Wycombe v Yeovil tonight so will see how Liam Walsh fares.

I watched him multiple times for England youth & he was so poor. I have slated him so much to a spurs fan in work & very much have to take every little bit of stick he throws my way

If its any consolation pal i had the same thoughts i saw him in the U20 World Cup and he was one of the worst players in the competition i am staggered when i see him now i almost think he must have a twin brother.

I think the spurs fan actually thought I was quite knowledgable & we had some good discussions but there is no getting away from it lesson learned for me not to judge to quickly.

Don't get me wrong I still think Kane has some issues in his game the comparisons with shearer im not having & his awareness Needs work often others dress that up as a being a driven single minded goalscorer but he simply keeps finding the corner.

I have began to warm to him as I can't think of another player to put so much effort into his game he is a good example for all young players

Nice clip, worryingly left footed of course, bit like that Messi fella, but Dowell does score with his right too. I think that makes him our top goalscorer in the U21 league with 6 goals.

It looks like Harry Charsley was the one playing in the DF midfield role with Williams, anybody go to the game to confirm that? Not a name that gets rave notices but he's played at right back when we had injuries so somebody reckons he's versatile as he's usually an attacking midfielder. If Davies does remain with the first team it would good to see Baningime getting a chance at u21 level playing alongside Williams.

Reports I read indicated Morgan Feeny had a good game alongside Holgate, another 17 year old youngster showing promise
but with a lot of physical and playing development needed yet. I love the knock on effect giving youngsters a chance has - Connolly moves up and Feeny takes his place at U21.

City are out mate, Chelsea play PSG in the final at 4 today.

Chelsea retained their UEFA Youth League title with a 2-1 win over PSG . I saw bits of the game , good attacking intent from both sides and some skilfull players involved. I recognised some of the Chelsea names like Tammy Abraham , Charlie Colkett , Kasey Palmer. The strength of their bench is amazing which more recognisable names like Chalobah and Jay Dasilva who from what I've seen of him is an outstanding left back for his age.

I'm still hoping that the rules of the competition mean that we can play in next year's tournament even if we finish behind Chelsea and City in the U 18!league, based upon Chelsea qualifying as winners , City by right as their 1st team qualified.

Can we please sign Admiral Muskwe, sounds like he needs force chocking by Darth Vader for missing a presentable chance.
