Everton Youth Teams Thread

GAME OVER,Everton u18s come from 2 down to to then lead 4-2,to then conceed 2 in last 7mins to end 4-4,some game and a brilliant 2nd half performance for everton,so unlucky not to win in the end, everton have moved up to 4th for hour at least,a win would have left everton 4 points from top and put us 3rd

next game is home v newcastle next saturday with 12.30 ko,thats 10 unbeaten for everton since the 1st 3 games we lost

Cheers for the posts @Ring master sounds like that was an unbelievable match. Shame we didn't hold onto the win but a great comeback from 2-0 down.
3rd goal was keeper error for us i would say as well and he did well for some of the saves he made so a touch bad on him, little turn by city player, and shot went under keepers arms,4th is just panic trying to hold on to the lead that led to the free kick, its one of those were the keeper gets his hand to it,and it just drops on the line and goes over ,but another city city player was running in anyway for the tap in if the free kick didnt go over

Its the top 2 playing each other today in the u23s League were 2nd placed Everton on 19 points play home to top placed man city u23s who have 20 points, game kicks off at 1pm and i think but not certain that it could have internet coverage, like the u18s did, everton are top scorers and the lowest conceeders

has conor grant come back for good or just playing this game for some reason?
ipswich are complete gash, he shouldve been playing every game for them.
Ipswich Town have decided to end the loan spell of Everton winger Conor Grant early.

The 21-year-old joined on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window but has failed to make an impact at Portman Road.

Instead of seeing out the rest of the campaign in Suffolk, he will instead return to Goodison Park to feature for the Premier League club's under 23s side.

Grant made seven appearances for Ipswich.

I felt bad for Conor because he has come to us to play games and although he has had a few appearances, his time on the pitch has been limited.

The reality is that he was here to develop his game and that wasn’t happening because he wasn’t getting the time on the pitch he needs at his age.

– MICK MCCARTHY, IPSWICH TOWN MANAGER

Boss team that. Probably as strong as we could put out.

Not sure about Connor Grant. Didn't think under the new rules he could come back until January.

I had a look at Ipswich fan forums about a month ago and they were giving McCarthy loads of stick over not playing him. He's a bit of Pulis type manager so probably the wrong place to send him in hindsight. Does anybody know whether Joe Royle is still meant to be looking after this side of things.

Not certain yet,u18s game was put live or said just 15mins before ko yesterday, its live or them training on the pitch now via that periscope thing, get felling this wont be though

ahh okay, let us know if you hear anything, there are some quality players on both sides worth watching. Davies vs Garcia in particular in central midfield.

Nope , I can't anything showing game. OS blog reveals interesting line up, we're either playing with ten men, 442 or 451

7' It's 4-4-1 for Everton early on. Kenny and Connolly are at right-back and left-back respectively either side of Holgate and Browning. In midfield, Walsh and Davies are flanked by Grant on the left and Dowell on the right, with Charsley sitting in behind lone striker Calvert-Lewin.
