Everton Youth Teams Thread

I agree with your comments and the points you make, but the other side of Chelsea is that their own home grown products are now starting to come through. They have some of the best English born youngsters in their age groups like Loftus-Cheek, Tammy Abrahams, Dominic Solanke, the two Chalobah brothers . Their problem is not only have they got bought in youngsters to compete against but international class seniors bought in. Abrahams will probably be sold for about £15 mill ish, and you can see the others going for good fees too. The 17 year old Trevoh Chalobah is worth a punt on if he ever becomes available, I watched him playing alongside Morgan Feeney for England and he's a beast of a centre back for his age. I think that's the way to play them , look for the disgruntled ones about to become out of contract and try to snap them up.

I think solanke is out of contract this summer, he's looking for a fair amount per week I read and guaranteed 1st team action, but could be worth a punt as long as it's not ridiculous amount

Great point if terry was coming through now would he make it at chelsea doubtful.

I know someone who was speaking with John Harley a while back he is a youth coach now at Chelsea or certainly was & he said Christensen the lad on loan in germany will be a better player than stones & they loaned him out for 2 years after paying a fortune for him.

I'm pretty sure I recall seeing an England u-21 game and half the team seemed to be made up of Chelsea players who are no where near their first team. Trying to get 2-3 of them in certainly wouldn't be the worst plan in the world

Two things strike me about Pedro Neves, having spent 6 minutes watching his YouTube video:
1. His shooting needs (or needed) a lot of improvement; and
2. I've played on 3 of the pitches he has in South West London/Surrey (him at U15 me in a veterans league)

He is 13-15 in those vidoes ffs, not many kids at all at that age can de everything well.

Classic british attitutde, looking at the weak points of a kid thats is 7 years away from starting in the first team.

I was only kidding! I couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo. He has quick feet if that helps? And I said needed - calm yourself

In his own words

To reach this level, however, it was necessary to go through an adaptation phase. "It's different in England, everything is more organized, there's a lot of running and the marking is tighter, but it's quiet, the opponents can come and I'll [Poor language removed] them," Pepe says, confident whenever the theme is football: "I'm a smart, fast, and skillful extreme."

Well he certainly has a few tricks up his sleeve. Must be a massive gamble moving a whole family over to a new continent all based on one child's talent. Good luck to them.

And? Just wondered as usually if we sign other team's young players e.g. George Green etc it is noted somewhere. I didn't expect Ronaldinho mate.

We sign loads of 13/14/15 players all the time mate, they dont all get tops sky sports billing!!!

George Green was a records fee!!!
