Everton Youth Teams Thread

EFC have been better no doubt. I would hazard a guess that the average age of your team is a couple of years older than ours (not taking anything away from your win).
Yours must be a very young team then mate. Take Besic out of the team, Galloway is 21 and every one of the rest of our outfield players qualifies for England under 20s, most of them still teenagers.

Loving the different views on here. For me it was Besic going off that made the difference. Walsh then came into his own , tidying up , closing down space and Charsley doing the unspectacular stuff as ever. Having said that nice to see Mo back. Thought our defenders all did a sound job too, yet another different centre back combination , you have to say that Unsy dies an amazing job getting them to defend properly whatever the combinations are.

Apparently he did the same at WBA in one of his few starts, but they didn't score and Pulis went beserk for going so far forward, never played him again . This may only partly be true.
Its true mate. I read it on an Albion fan forum. Few lads saying that he crossed the half way line far too often and he wouldn't stay in the team if he carried in doing that. Got taken off half way through the next game and didn't play again. The Albion fans were made up with him by the way. It was Pulis they were having a dig at.

As for tonights game, thought it was very entertaining. Spurs are a good team, press hard with some very skilful players. Perhaps they ran out of steam a bit in the second half as the game opened up and we deserved our win, but 4-1 was a bit flattering. DCL deserved his goal for some really excellent hold up play. Shuld have scored that header in the first half though. Two great goals from Dowell and Sambou, the latter I thought stretched them when he came on and they couldn't cope with his pace. Good run out for Besic too who I thought controlled what I saw of the first half.

He was poor. Provided a good cross for DCL to head wide and had an attacking impetus as well as getting a tap in goal but overall was disappointing and made limited impact before being rightfully subbed.
A bit worrying, maybe talk of him being homesick are correct. He's only a young lad perhaps it would do well for his long term development to give him a break.
