Everton Youth Teams Thread


Dowell doesn't seem to have the pace to be a true winger but prefers to start wide and drift inside instead of playing as a center attacking midfield. He could be an effective player doing this but without also learning the ability to play centrally I can't see him breaking through. The issue about him going missing at times is there too. I'd compare his style to someone like Ozil which has some clear negatives to it that can hold him back in the managements eyes

Reminds me of bilyletdinov,scorer of great goals but doesn't contribute much else!

That's how I feel, I think he seems to be one of those players who would be better the higher up they play, someone like Kane at spurs who didn't seem like he'd make it, they just chucked him in the first team and never looked back. The thing is, you don't have to be consistent to make it in the prem, you can just have that genius about you and that's what he has.

If you can afford to, you just chuck them in the first team and they'll win you the odd match with the only thing they do. He has premier league quality for sure. You look at Coutinho and he does nothing for 5 games but 1 game he'll score a great goal and that could mean 3 points. Dowell could be just that imo.

I fagree with that. I think he'd look better & improve a lot if he was given a chance in the 1st team. It will be a real shame if he doesn't get a chance here. Disappointed he's not on bench today & Lookman is given how they played against Spurs.

Are you sure the game vs the RS is on there channel.

They usually put there away games on their PPV channel, Liverpoolgo.
