Evertonians for change.

If you want to put an ex-player at board level that understands the club, why not Neville Southall who speaks very intelligently?
Conincidening with the Alan Stubbs claims that he's refused tickets because he speaks out against the club.
Stinks of Kenwright and jobs for the boys.
Also, for me, ex players shouldn't be board members.
Is NS intelligent??

I wouldn't broad brush say that ex players can't be board members - again, that's extreme

Plenty of room to be creative with who to bring in though - including non execs from inside or outside of football...

An ordinary business wouldn't hire board members without the correct training, qualifications or experience so why should that be any different at Everton.
If you want to employ ex players, give them coaching, media or ambassador roles.

I just wouldn't be as definitive as that and take it more case by case, as there could be specific cases where it made sense - businesses often have board members with backgrounds in their own sectors

I get what you're saying but we need to stop treating Everton as a football club and more like a business (away from the pitch) and on the pitch with transfers.
We need to generate more money as a company, exposure etc.
Maybe advisory roles for ex players rather than board status.

Yes - I just think there are businesses and indeed other football clubs with all sorts of people on their boards (including Chairmen)

I think the right investor could completely step change that side of things though

I don't know the detail of it, but looks like Chelsea have done a total overhaul of their board recently, with quite a few more people on it than the EFC one: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/01965149/officers

See they have Daniel Finkelstein on it - presumably the journalist / statistician / politician - so not a business background...

Could argue journalism, statistician and politician is a business background or at least suitable for board level.

Following dreadful recent results, performances and general mismanagement of the club from top to bottom and some discussion with "MINT" this morning.
We wanted to find ways of brainstorming ways on which we as fans can drive Everton in a more positive direction.
We wanted to create it as an open forum as possible, where we all get a say and polls etc to decide on what action should be taken.
We're sure we can all agree that we as Evertonians deserve better.
We don't care where you come from, how often you attend games or if you travel away. We only care about if you're a blue and love the club.
We want to state that although we started this thread, we're in no way setting ourselves up as a leader, this is designed as a collective to drive Everton to better and a way of giving as many of you a voice as possible.
We feel that we as a group of fans need to act now while the media spotlight is on us as a club and drive that negativity into a positive.

Thank you.

Brilliant.

Well done mate, it’s what’s drove a force between fan bases this 27 campaign. No consultation and a statement which doesn’t represent all the fan base.

By being inclusive of all, you allow every fan the opportunity to express their opinion (even if it’s not going to be the right one), and when a decision is made, everyone knows exactly what’s happening, and not caught off guard.

Let’s hope it goes well

Cheers, hopefully we can find away to agree and hopefully push something forward.
Ultimately we all love the club and want to see us do well again.
Hopefully this can be the start.

When you say recent is this 20 years recent?
But yes I agree a massive push from the fans need to hound these clowns out of the club

Good idea. Everton need new ownership. The stadium could make us an attractive proposition, but Im not sure of the debt incurred by Kenwright/Moshiri to date. Key is to make things unbearable for Kenwright even if it borders on the ‘extra - judicial’..,,ie putting fart cushions, drawing pins under his seat, spiking his pastie with hallucenegenics, greasing the steps in front of barrett baxendale. We could kidnap the tannoy announcer and then read out our demands on the speaker system at half time?
Sounds like a plan.

Knowing the current set up they'll nick the copper piping and lead roofing to spite

Need a forensic accountant to shed light on the dodgy dealing
