I’m not sure any punishment will be handed out.
I’m thinking they may get a better deal on CL revenues and places, PL revenues and TV rights.
Which I think was their aim all along.
Sadly you are probably right about the lack of meaningful punishment but I don't think this was some sort of double-bluff, the Scabs wanted this to happen and genuinely believed they held all the cards. I think the noise from the government might have been pivotal here. They certainly don't want public scrutiny of their dealings, and I think it is also significant that Chelsea folded first, given Abramovich's personal situation/history with the government.

Scabs that is what they are, now trying to come the innocent. Their actions have still in effect devalued our league football at all levers.

Watch until the next time???? Greedy [Poor language removed].

I found the apologies from Spurs and MU to be the worst apologies I have ever heard.
Almost not apologies.

They can both 'koff.

The analogy would be I am sorry for giving you a black eye and smashing your face in, I need to find something else to do with my fists.

Absolute winkers.

Love to know @Alan Whittle Whittle 's toughts on Steve Parish, the guy who was on Sky yesterday. My impression of him was a really positive one. Didnt come out slating them left right and centre but did ask questions, reiterated that football was for all and genuienly comes across that he's a Palace fan living his dream of being at the club.
Whether that translates to Palace fans, I don't know, obviously i wouldn't know how its run, how their communication is etc.
Our Chairman and owner since June 2010. Bought the club out of a Simon Jordan created administration.Generally thought well of and certainly our best Chairman in 50+ years. To be fair the others included Ron Noades and Simon Jordan so the bar was not a high one. A boyhood fan from the 70’s and a successful businessman though he doesn’t get a free ride. Not much of an ego and a straight dealer. Two big howlers on his watch include capitulating to the Ultras who demanded to move to the centre of the Holmesdale lower. Long standing season ticket holders were displaced to accommodate this to much disgust plus the handling of season ticket purchasing during the pandemic left a lot to be desired but prices themselves have been held steady and are one of the cheapest in the PL.
Has sought to take the club on, has invested heavily in the academy which now has category A status and we have planning permission (if not the cash) to rebuild the main stand.
He is sound. Proper Palace. There are plenty much worse.

The only punishment they will get is a stern talking to, then it’s back to normal.

Only chance of some drama is fans protesting to have their owners removed which is a bad thing for other fans because the likes of arsenal and Liverpool might finally end up with good owners.

This statement has already faded into the background under the narrative that Hendo, Jugen and Millers, pushed back against the ESL and saved the world of football.
Have you noticed that? Staggering, isn't it? Klopp was miles weaker and more uncertain on Monday than in 2019, and cry-arsed about the T-shirts, banners, Gary Neville daring to quote YNWA; he was feeble. He spoke up on behalf of FSG. He would have earned more respect by saying he was focused on the game, had made a detailed statement in 2019, and now needs to catch up on the breakaway news and speak with the owners.

Milner was stronger and better. Henderson, FFS, only came out late on Tuesday on behalf of the team, when the pile-on was well underway. And Dalglish....ONE tweet! And now we're hearing from Sky and from Henry Winter that the redshite saved football.

There's a clear rule breach (entering into a further competition without PL agreement) and huge potential for damage to every club and the whole pyramid. Don't let them away with it. It galls me to think of City v. Spurs in the Carabao Cup Final. Sickening! Throw them out! There must be sanctions, big sanctions, as Moshiri said yesterday. And the argument that it wasn't the clubs, the players, or the fans, but the owners cuts no ice. When someone connected with a club steps out of line, punishment happens. The innocent suffer, too. Everton saw that more acutely than anyone with the European ban in 1985.

I would suggest a national 'dont watch them' moment for the Carabao Cup Final. The European 'Switch-Off' League.
Who cares about the league cup anyway!

They need to avoid too great a points deduction for fear it relegated Arsenal. I believe 10 points is the likely compromise.
Since Arsenal didn't win promotion to Division 1 in 1919, but got VOTED in by the league committee suits (ironically, as the expense of Div 2 champions, Spurs) I would love to see them relegated! A 30 point deduction would put the 2 North London 'super clubs' in the relegation frame!

Europa league should have bigger prize funds. The Top 4 hasnt really changed in 20 years as teams who finish 6th,7th who qualify for Europe can't afford to get a bigger/better squad due to ffp
