F1 2024 (and other motorsport) thread

Norris let off again for blatantly breaking the rules. Bet that wouldn't have happened if that had been Max

You're becoming a bit tedious with this 'anti max agenda', as bad as the Mercedes fans who harp on about Derek Warwick's alleged Red Bull/Honda bias.

Perhaps you should take your own advice and...

dry your eyes you wet wipe :bye:

Oh I'm not complaining. It's quite funny to see the bias played out in plain site.
Gonna be a while before there's a decent contender to Max's throne so guess you haters will just have to suck it up.

I agree there is no one from his generation who is on his level. I think there are a couple who can match him on pure pace but none of them have the consistency or even more importantly the experience of fighting for a championship. Max now has 4 seasons of being at the front and the total confidence that brings.

The only drivers in the field with experience fighting for a title are Hamilton, Alsono and Verstappen. It's a bit sad really, I guess Norris now has a little experience and maybe Charles will get some next year but it's hard to see them improving massively without constantly being in the fight for wins for a long period of time.

This is why id like Ferrari and McLaren to be the two frontrunners next season. I know Max can boss things, I want to see what the next best talent from his generation can do in a title fight that's relatively even from the get-go. Max is the best of his generation, no ones going to bother arguing against that, its set it stone.

I've got a bet on Norris to be WDC next year. Meant to have one on him being 2nd this year part way through last season but forogt. The way Mcl have developed over the last couple of seasons I think they will season long provide him with a car to challenge Max/that will be better than RB, and he will win it. Think with his experience gained from this season (where from me he's been thrust from loveable fun loving plucky underdog to serious contender suddenly and slightly sooner than expected/too soon), and a little work on his race performances (starts/first laps, wheel to wheel combat with Max, aggressiveness), he will have the tools he needs to get it done next year.

I've amended that for you.
